Uh..lol? Spider shot does 0 damage and only gives an increase to critical hit damage.

I think he was referring to the part about all damage breaking the trap.

Apparently Spider Trap -> Rock throw (without Sleep effect) breaks the trap and fulfills the "Attack a trapped enemy" training method.
