From Mabinogi World Wiki

On the MML page you added cell padding to a table "to help prevent entries from running together" and on the Icebolt page you "Increased cellspacing to make borders visible again in places". However, when I looked at both pages' history, the old version of the table on the MML page (before your changes) did not have entries "running together" and the table on the Icebolt page did not have any borders missing. The only thing your changes did was make the MML page's table wider and longer, while the Icebolt page's table has borders that look different compared to other tables. I checked the old tables on both Mozilla Firefox (which I normally use) and Internet Explorer because different browsers display formatting differently. Neither showed the problems you described in the old version of the tables. Tables should be as consistent (color, borders, etc) as possible for tables used for the same thing on different pages. Also, they should be kept compact, so people with smaller monitors can see as much as possible on one window, without having to scroll all the time. Is it the browser you are using that is causing the problem? I really would like to know before I change them back. If there is a real problem with the table formatting then we may need to ask on the Wiki Q&A page to see if it needs to be fixed because it would need to be applied to a heck of a lot of pages to keep things consistent. --ZRoc (Talk) 20:43, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

  • Ahh, it makes sense that it could be just my configuration that is causing it. I completely agree that they should be uniform. I will change them back for now until this is figured out. Toward that end, I am currently using Firefox 3 on Windows XP at 1024x768 resolution. When I look at the Icebolt table there are no lines between, "Required AP" and "Human/Giant", "Required AP" and "Elf", "Required AP (Total)" and "Human/Giant", "Required AP (Total)" and "Elf", "Mana Use (1st charge)" and "Human/Elf", and "Mana Use (1st charge)" and "Giant". Oddly enough, the MML page looks fine right now, but when I look back to the padded version there is no line between "L" and "." for their symbol, example, or usage description. So this problem seems to vary from time to time as well. When I mentioned making borders visible and preventing entries from running together, it was the same issue as two entries look like one box when a line disappears. Something that should have tipped me off is that I fixed it in two different ways. I should have thought that it could have been something with my configuration. I wonder if anyone else has this minor issue. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, ZRoc. --Drake3 20:33, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
