Description

Use Potion Making to create the potion and deliver it to a character who needs it within the time limit. Keeping the character in good condition results in a higher score. As the test rank increases, so too does the score needed to pass the test.

General Tips

  • Your Herbalism, Study: Potion Lore, Song, Harvest Song, and March Song ranks will carry over into the test.
    • If the player wishes to use Harvest Song in order to not fail potion making, they will also need to have Song Rank 5 or higher.
    • If the player wishes to use March Song in order to move faster, they will also need to have Song Rank 5 or higher.
  • Players start with 600 Base Herbs, 100 Bloody Herbs, 100 Mana Herbs, 100 Sunlight Herbs, 200 Base Potions, and 300000 Gold;
  • Two Antidote Herb patches are present, though neither will help with the test.
  • The player may purchase all of the above items except for Antidote Herbs from the Test Supervisor, and additionally can purchase Poison Herbs, Water, and Four-Leaf Clovers.
  • The test will last 5 minutes, with various NPCs spawning as the timetable above implies. NPCs will lose one of the three stats indicated, and the latter 3 NPCs will have larger pools of the indicated stat.
    • When NPCs are below 80% in their respective stat, a glowing potion indicative of the potion required to recover that stat will appear above the NPC's head.
    • When the NPC's health drops below 30%, they will stand in place.
      • The potion will also begin to shimmer when the stat becomes critically low.
    • Stamina and Mana both now decrease in conjunction with their HP, allowing the current amount of Stamina or Mana to be gauged by looking at the NPC’s health.
  • Using Ctrl+N to disable NPC names and chat will improve visibility of health bars and the potion above the NPCs' heads.
    • While NPCs do chat about their condition, the glowing potion and health bar are a more reliable indicator of when they need to be fed potions.
  • The player will need 40 HP and MP 100s and 20 SP 100s in order to safely complete the Advancement Test.
    • The player should already have all of the materials they need for this.
    • Alternatively, an easier method is to make the following:
      • 30 (1.5 stacks) of HP 100s
      • 30 (1.5 stacks) of MP 100s
      • 20 (One full stack) of SP 100s
      • 4 of HP 300s
      • 4 of MP 300s
    • Tip: Only make the exact amount of potions you need in order to avoid lacking MP for making all the variants required. An easy way to do so is to remove the Base Potions or Water Bottles from the Crafting UI.
      • The 300s are given to the NPCs with larger stat pools. (Credit to Yamanoki for the method)
    • You will need to purchase 8 Bottled Waters.
      • Because your inventory will not have enough space to purchase all of the materials at once, make the 100 potion variants first before purchasing and making the 300 variants.
        • When doing so be sure to keep an eye on the first NPC you need to treat (Milletians Enjoy the Challenge) to avoid failure from fainting.
  • Most, if not all, of the potion crafting can be done in the first minute as the NPCs will not immediately need care.
  • When crafting the potions, various measure should be done in order to succeed with ease.
    • Players need to uncheck the 'Auto Craft' option at the bottom of the crafting window. This will make it so that multiple copies of a potion can be made at once.
      • You can click item materials in the window to easily remove them to quickly control how many potions are made.
      • Only five uses of potion making will be required.
    • Players can use the 'Crafting Search Bar' to find the desired potion faster.
    • Players can use the 'Add Materials' button to add all required materials after selecting the desired potion.
  • To get a higher score, give a ton of potions to fill the NPC stat pool when it is critically low, as indicated by the shimmering potion above the NPCs' heads.
    • The optimal method is to click on a NPC multiple times right before they need potions and stack multiple 'Do you wish to give this item?' windows.
    • Giving a potion means to pick up the potion in your inventory, hover over the intended NPC, click on the NPC, and answer 'Yes' to the window prompt.
    • Try to use the camera near the NPC so that the question prompt does not prevent you pre-loading more window prompts.
    • Remember that you need to stand near the NPC to give them the potions.
  • If an NPC faints, 2000 points will be removed and the test may result in a failure.

Anecdotally, the information below MAY be out of date after the September 2023 Quality of Life Updates[1]

  • The NPCs will always require potions in the same order for optimal points, detailed below in bursts of aid giving:
    • 1st Aid: Health
    • 2nd Aid: Mana then Health then Stamina
    • 3rd Aid: Mana then Health then Stamina
    • Last Aid: Large Health then Mana then Health then Large Mana then Stamina
    • Note that Large Stamina will never have time enough to faint, and can be safely ignored.
  • Stack 5 of the 'Do you wish to give this item?' windows for the NPCs with smaller stat pools. Wait a second (until you hear the audio cue from gaining points) between giving the first potion and the last 4 to maximize point gain.
  • Stack 12 of the 'Do you wish to give this item?' windows for the NPCs with larger stat pools.
    • If doing the alternate method, simply give all of the four 300 potions to the NPC.
