Talk:Artisan Upgrades for Swords

1-30 STR is now 1-35, same with luck and dex. Values did not match those on the War Swords page.

I have been looking at some of the foreign sources (KR)... and it seems like the military sword has same artisan upgrade as the gladius, which is logical to me, since they share upgrade paths that lower their crit for damage, and things like "blade edge sharpening" or the first upgrade that follows the max damage path is pretty similar....

Can we make an effort to actually get the right people for the upgrade? I've found two swords that don't upgrade at Ranald or Edern. Wooden Blade gets Artisan at Ferghus, and the Battle Short Sword get's it Artisan at Nerys.

So I was disappointed not to find longswords on this list, but it turns out they do have an artisan upgrade. Like other swords it appears that it is +2-5 HP and +2-5 SP, and in my experimenting it's given me:

Str +5/13/15/23/28 Dex +18/38/41/45 Luck -19/-26/-31/-32/-35

Anyway I thought I'd just leave this input here, since I didn't see longswords anywhere else. However, since Edern was able to upgrade them I was curious.

They are not g14 only, I've added the art upgrade for the swords and my first one i got was +30 luck +68 str +5 stam +5 hp -32 dex. Second sword was +37 str +56 luck +3 hp.

So you're saying you got gem upgrades for it?

Way to confuse Artisan and Special upgrade. I swear all the pages are a mess.

correct you get a random stat in a set amount for certain weps. Also you are right about the blue stone ana red stone upgrades. Time to stock up on them for g14 then ;D

Technically they were made available in G13S2, but whos counting. :P

Battle short swords have Artisan Upgrades, Not sure who all will do it, But Nerys in Dunbarton will. It however, only costs 20,000 to do it, not 30,000. I'm a bit cautious about getting them, because the upgrade I was planning to get was +10max and crit, so if anyone could find out the possible boosts for this, I'd be appreciative.

I have 2, 100(100%) proficiency 4\5 Broadswords. I've been through Tir, Dunbarton, Bangor, Tailltean and Tara. If anyone else can find out who can do the Artisan for a Broadsword, I would be most grateful if they could reply to this, or update the Broadsword page!

Ranald is supposed to have it. I'll be the first to tell you its a terrible upgrade.
