Talk:Bolt Mastery
I think this obviously stacks with the separate "elemental" mastery... r1 Bolt Mastery + r1 Ice mastery means 40% off mana cost! Then add ice wand upgrades and... You now have people able to spam ice spears for a near infinite period of time! It's even more badass because both adds 15% to damage increase!--Dra6o0n 00:51, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
- Bolt mastery influences bolts. Ice spear isn't a bolt- I don't think it will get the mana usage reduction. Ihazzai 02:03, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
- I'd also assume that the modifier is not additive, but multiplicative. 1x0.8x0.8 is 0.64, comes out to a 36% reduction, not 40%. --Hecate 04:30, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
...98% mp reduction?
With an mp reduction set (-10%), fully upgraded Tikka wood healing wand (-48%), R1 magic bolt mastery (-20%) and R1 Ice Magic Mastery (-20%), you'd have -98% reduction... That's like, 0.08MP for one R1 icebolt. Is it possible to go over 100%? Will 100% make those spells mana-free? If it's multiplicative like was mentioned earlier, the above combination still comes out as 70.05% reduction on icebolt. This is craaazeeyyyy. Ihazzai 07:29, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure those modifiers are multiplicative, not additive. But yeah, the bonus is still insane.--Hecate 17:06, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
- IF the tikka wand does actualy reduce ice bolt, it'd be .52 * .8 * .8 *.9, which means you'd be using 29.95% of your normal mana cost, not 2% of your normal mana. If it added you'd be able to get -8% (thats negative 8%, aka your mana would go up) mana use due to the ice magic master title lowering mana use by a further 10%. Magic Damage and Mana reduction compounds, rather than adds. Basicaly, reductions are less than when added, and increases are more than when added (Ice Bolt is capable of getting +15% damage 4 times, followed by a 49% damage increase and another 28% damage increase, which comes out to 237% damage when added, but 333.57% damage when compounded.) Bolt Mastery Title | 5 | 19:32, 29 April 2013 |
Fusion Bolt clarification | 6 | 04:02, 6 November 2011 |
Does it act the same way as the Elemental Masteries' Titles where the title adds the percentage to the given percentage of the skill? (i.e. Rank 1 Ice Mastery gives 15% Ice Damage and the title adds 10 making it 25%) So does Bolt Magic Master do the same? (i.e. 15% from Rank 1 Skill + 15 from Title gives it a total of 30% Magic Bolt Damage?) Also which one would be more better for bolt spells, the bolt's respective Elemental Mastery title or Bolt Magic Master title?
Bolts are crap, so why bothering? Though for your question, I'm not sure how the % work. The Elemantal Mastery title would be better because the skill adds mana reduction. If mana isn't a problem, then go bolt master(?)
Well, I want to know in part for Hot Air Ballooning as to which title is better for usage with CC+4 Fire Wand (Bolt Master or Fire Master).
I've read in various places that the Bolt Magic Master title does not apply when using fusion bolt, however the fusion bolt page states that it is calculated using the values of the separate bolts with ALL bonuses factored in, which would presumably include the bolt magic master title. Would it be possible to examine this and determine which of the two scenarios is correct, then update the pages to reflect the result?
I know fusion bolt calculates individual bolt bonuses, what I didn't know is whether bolt master title counted as an individual bolt bonus. Or are you saying it doesn't even work for bolts it SHOULD work for?
Nevertheless, whatever the truth is really should be put up somewhere, and I'm not sure enough to edit it in myself.
Well if bolt master title worked for fusion bolt.
What would the point of fusion bolt master title be?
I sort of figured as much, just wanted to be certain. Where exactly should the note go, somewhere on the fusion bolt page? (In the details bit near where it explains damage calculation, perhaps?)
