Talk:Bonita Silky Dress

From Mabinogi World Wiki

(cur) (prev) 07:35, 8 May 2010 Miyani (Talk | contribs) (2,308 bytes) (→Dye Details) (undo) When was this person given such rights to even fully delete the contribution history and content of other users? She has uploaded a picture of herself in the dress, deleted all record of the prior picture and the people that posted there, all to show it as her own character in colors she prefers? This doesn't seem right really. Since when is a user allowed to even delete history and such? Syl 08:24, 8 May 2010 (UTC)Syllwynn

From what I've seen, the image you uploaded for this dress had white and black for the scheme. It states on the wiki policy "Avoid a purely monochromatic, full-white, full-black, and/or white/black color scheme.", so I believe that gives her rights to upload an image that's better suiting the image policy. =) --Simpet 09:12, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

For the record, your images were against image policy. Please read the image policy before uploading images in the future. Pure white (as shown on the neck and shoulder decorations) and black (on the trim of the skirt) are very much against the rules. i was fully within policy be replacing the images. If you so desire, you can still see your images by clicking the files themselves, it gives you a history of images replaced. One being yours, and the one before that being shown with glare. both policy violating.

Also, i did not delete anything. only moderators have the ability to do so, i edited the dye details since the dye type and placement were incorrect, if needed i will provide in-game screen shots that all 3 pieces were in fact, pixie palette and not cloth.

If your going to accuse users of being abusive to the wiki you might want to read the policy first as your accusations against me are very much unappreciated. I have deleted NOTHING, all of the contributions to the page are still in the page history.

until then, have a good day. Miyani 09:14, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

No Lina, the image was removed completely with no record of it having ever been there. Also, I did not upload the image at all, another user did. Lastly, the dress was blue, not black. You justify this from wiki policy which states, as posted before "Avoid a purely monochromatic, full-white, full-black, and/or white/black color scheme.". Which the picture was NOT all black and white. As such, it could be seen that you merely replaced it because it was not in colors you preferred or to have your own character be shown in it. Syl 20:58, 8 May 2010 (UTC)Syllwynn

The previous image had white in it. That is against the wiki policy. Also, the blue did not show much detail. --Jay 21:05, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

Edit: To clear things up, that means anything with white/black in it is against wiki policy. --Jay 21:09, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

Syl, dear, i am looking at the image containing your bonita, RIGHT NOW. click any of the images on the front, back, side, or angled images, and you can see your image very clearly. scroll down a tiny bit AFTER opening up the image page if need be. Secondly, i know for a fact that it is you in the image, and i feel alot that the reason you are so very displeased about this is because it was your dress in the image.

Here is the exact quote of what it says in the wiki policy about black and white images. "Avoid a purely monochromatic, full-white, full-black, and/or white/black color scheme. With these color sets, it is difficult to distinguish between the dye-able parts and the gears' details are usually lost. Even if only one part is black or white, we don't want it."

i'd say 2/3 plus a neon that blocks out the shading effects puts the image well into the "needs replaced" category. On that same note you can barely see the choker as it blends in with the skin tone.

to wrap it up, i DO NOT at all appreciate you using my real name on the wiki, there is a reason i don't use my ingame name, or real name on the wiki. it even says in my user page that i do not want people knowing who i am.

i am requesting a moderator change it to my wiki name. Read the policy dear, thoroughly. And then please follow the directions above to learn proper navigation of image history so you don't make these false and slandering accusations in the future. FYI, it's not MY preference. i am just following policy. Miyani 21:32, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

EDIT: On that note i did tell your friend Saix7, that images with white and black were against the image policy and that the tag could not be removed if the images contained ANY black or white. he acknowledged this and understood the images would likely be replaced at a later date. Miyani 21:42, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

Again, I did not load the picture or even take it. I only even brought this up as the person who did post it said they wanted to know why it was done. They stated that it has been removed from listing on their contributions page as well. Again, what information I received from them. I honestly do not mind what picture is there, it just seemed odd that the record of it was removed from the contributions list and was asking why this was done. And you seem to like throwing around in-game names with freedom to do so. It's not like I even said your full in-game name, but a nickname as you well know. Syl 22:05, 8 May 2010 (UTC)Syllwynn

I did not mention anyone by they're ingame name, just their wiki name. Yours signs as syllwynn, his signs as Saix7.

I also took the liberty of looking into his contributions pages, and found his contributions to the page with relative ease. Please do tell your friend to up the max amount of contributions viewable to a higher number, I set it to 500, and searched "bonita" I found the following records:

I sent Saix a note quite a few weeks ago ingame, telling him of the image policy for his original uploads of a male terra suit. which contained white and black. If there are any other questions you or saix may have, feel free to post them here, and I will answer them as best I can. Miyani 22:26, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

Syllwynn misunderstood the wiki page. The 4 of you need to please just drop it, and sorry for the trouble.--Saix7 23:18, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

I think any kind of pure color (neon) is bad, this includes red, because it kills the specular that would be on non-pure colors. The first set of pictures uploaded showed the most 3D details.--Hengsheng120·TALKCONTRIBS 23:28, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

hi yuh know the bickering does need to e kncoked off. but imma throw on my 2 pennies for now. the toss up is between a white/black/blue set, a charsim set that crops off most of the collar and still has white, or a red one. each of them show something the other doesnt the blue shows some shading on the front the red shows better shading on the back idk i dont think the pink does much, imo i dont think charsim images should be up anyway, they arent ingame anyway tbh the bonita just doent shade well in any colorz i dont think. ive dyed mine 4 times and all coloerz kinda look bad n shade different.

imo on u girlz sounds alot like there is eprsonal issues between both. syl, u were attacking her, i though same thing when i read it. miyami u shoulda gone to the mods instead of bothering with it. hengshen i think for now the red is ok it doesn't kill much detail the blue one didnt either really its just the dress its weird.Sirenzsongz 00:41, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

didnt see saix say syl misunderstood maybe all this drama is for nothin? Sirenzsongz 00:48, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

Since the Red Does not show enough detail

I will add the Category:NeedPicture back onto the page. It is neon, and hardly shows any part of the dress. --Jay 00:42, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

thats fine by me, if you want just to put the issue to rest, i'll upload char simulator images instead. Miyani 00:46, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
