I'm having trouble figuring out how to edit the template for dye details, the second part is metal but I can't get it to update from cloth and the third part cannot be dyed. Could someone give me a crash course?

Under the item's icon, click the edit button to get to the item's technical data.

In there, the color1/2/3 lines tell the wiki which palette the item uses for the three spots.

0 is none, 1 is cloth, 2 is leather, 5 is metal. There may be a list of other palettes somewhere.
