I think it's that headgear.... | 29 | 08:57, 26 July 2012 |
That does gestures. From what I remember, the name overseas is something like "Nao-chan" But judging from the GREAT translation work...we got the child pronunciation of "-chan" which is, oddly enough, "-tan"
Video of what it does This is just a hunch, and I don't want to make the page since...well...no one has gotten this thing as of yet.
le gasp, they weren't scrollable for me...probably cause of my net lagging like an idiot e-e;; *sees page still loading and not moving*
It's like Beserker, data and usability is there, but it's locked out. Likewise, this item has been around for quite some time, but it's features are locked, but the data's there o-o...I'm guessing it's the same with Nekojima.
no, no, no. that couldn't be it. And Nekojima exists, except the npc functions and metallurgy spots were removed. There was no update for the client to read the item_motion parameter, therefore the parameter does nothing as of now. Berserker is locked because the skill function does nothing now once activated, but this and the nekojima thing are server sided. The client reads item parameters, and compares with server, but seeing as the client doesnt know the item_motion parameter, it can't do a thing about it.

Funnily enough, when I first saw the name of this item, I thought of Shakugan no Shana-tan which features a tiny Shana sitting on Yuuji's head. From that, I actually wouldn't be surprised if the original item name was also "Nao Tan"
Actually "Nao Tan" (or perhaps, Nao-tan) is the correct name, even on the JP server. That's even what the Kana says in the title from Kafu's linked video.
Unless there's an update issue with my client, the item currently appears to be untranslated. However, when it was placed in a trade window, it was called "Teensy Nao", so I'm guessing that's the NA name for Nao-tan? --Chaud 05:51, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
Seems to be no reference to "Teensy Nao" in the itemdb, unless that's controlled by server, which would make a tiny bit of sense. And yes, the item is untranslated. :(
And considering even the mystery box list, populated by nexon, called it Nao Tan and in their announcement, it's probably going to be Nao Tan.
