Usefulness of Skill

How useful is Wings of Rage compared to Spear of Light? It just seems to me just a mirage missile type skill in how it does small damage over time. I know Spear of Light with Brionic does insane damage and it also does light damage to enemies between yourself and the enemies. Does Wings of Rage does more damage than the Spear of Light because it only targets one enemy and does not target smaller enemies inbetween? --Miyuna 17:34, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

here is a video showing the skills. It's better than what I can explain. --Jαy 18:41, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
I've seen that video but I believe it really doesn't show anything remarkable. I've seen people with Spear of Light, screenshots, hitting 14k~21k of damage and it feels great. If Wings of Rage and Eclipse of wings are not stellar, then the whole concept of Morrighan based skills are just futile... It's like trading a mansion for a apartment. Unless Wings of Rage is greater than Spear of Light by damage or Eclipse of wings can even reduce damage by 25%, then it might be plausible. Of course Wings of Eclipse seems like a great defense skill but the same thing can be said about Shock or Fury of Light, but one does damage while one does not. --Miyuna 20:46, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
I'll look through skill_leveldetail.xml and see what I can find. --Jαy 23:28, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, I appreciate it. If I came out hostile in what I said (after rereading what I wrote after hours), I apologize. Though personally, I just feel unless the Wings of Rage does massive damage or have some special effects noteworthy to compare it to Spear of Light and Wings of Eclipse barrier is something unique or does its job (reducing damage) extremely well it may not be worthwhile to choose Morrighan at all. I mean, Spear of Light does massive damage already and smaller damage to targets on its path, so I don't see why sacrifice the skill for a weaker attack. Fury of Light is not only offensive, but is also defensive as well, so it kind of feels you either choose 1. choose a defense that always reduces damage or 2. choose a skill that stuns enemies from even attacking while doing small amounts of damage. --Miyuna 03:51, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
Well, I found... this, but I don't know if it's Eclipse or Wings of Rage. -_- --Jαy 17:44, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
Edit: And a video: [1] --Jαy 17:46, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
That's an amazing video. Thanks for showing it. Wow... I guess Wings of Rage does do its job, now gotta find a video about Wings of Eclipse getting hit. --Miyuna 22:01, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

Violation of "Anyone in Party" Finish Rule?218:25, 3 June 2011

Invincible Monsters

I recently fought a Banshee and my Rank 1 Wings of Rage did 1 damage, both the explosion and the residual damage. I have a feeling that all the invulnerable monsters are more invulnerable than we thought. I can test it on the Arc Lich later, but I'm too lazy to try to run Peaca Normal for the Demi Lich too.

Did arc lich less than a month ago wings worked fine. ONLY residual will do damage. But haven't tested recently.

So would Longa bosses be affected by WoR as well?

Violation of "Anyone in Party" Finish Rule?

Recently I killed the Emerald Magic Golem using Wings of Rage. The finish rule was set to "Anyone in Party", but when the Golem died, there was absolutely no "finish" (even though I didn't do most of the damage or hits).

Seemingly ignores the said rule... Anyone else wanna confirm?
