Category/Organizing
Er... is this category really necessary? Since Nexon re-releases Shopping Bags... I understand about the Tropical Escape Packages - but each individual one could be listed with the Shopping Bags. I know you probably just wanted to get all this info on the wiki, but I think I could clean it up a bit, without making new categories if you don't mind? ^^;
I think there are/have been other types of packages in the game that can be referenced under this category, such as pet packages, when they released multiple pets for one set price, not only costume packages. There have been and may possible continue to be non-outfit type packages released.
Could you give specific examples? I know the Rano and Quilla Resort Bundle, the Servant and Master Shopping Bags (which held multiple outfit bags + items). I don't understand why the Hagi and Anju and SAO and other shopping bags would be here, though. To my knowledge they were sold separately. Even the Tropical packages are separate Shopping Bags - each can go on its own Shopping Bag page.
So I think you're just wanting related outfit bags to be listed somewhere together? Which can be done without creating a new category ^^; All I'd do was add "See Also: " and then the related page links on the items Shopping Bag page.
Currently Active Examples of Non-clothing based packages, that can be purchased right now in the nx cash shop are Essential Erinn Pack 25,000 NX Black and White Ferret Package 7,900 NX. There are non-clothing set types of bundles or packages that nexon releases, the tropical escape packages are not called tropical escape shopping bags, despite their similar appearance.. And I would be totally fine with giving a see also category shopping bags in the packages section, that way people that jump into packages can navigate to the shopping bags more easily
Nexon isn't really great at name-continuity, so I wouldn't base my assumptions off their item names oAO; I look at the Dress-Like-Anju Pack and see it as a shopping bag - "Shopping Bag" is just the Mabi-Wiki regarded term for packages that contain an outfit set o_o; So for things like the Ferret Package, and even the Rano/Quilla Bundles, I understand putting them in this category - I just don't understand putting all the outfit shopping bags/outfit packs in this category.
Even with this category, I think I'd just keep them all listed under "Packages", instead of also having a "Packages (Past)" since things are re-released so often.
Meh, well they make an undo button if theres something you don't like that I've put. I'm just trying to catch this 10year behind wiki up, since everyone seems to be so lazy on this. you cant even find the shopping bags in the items list because whoever set that up diddnt know how to place it into the categories properly. if you wish to move things back into the shopping bag category I'm not going to move them back into mine again. I've already created a way to navigate to shopping bags from the packages page, including a neat redirect for all the people that might just type shopping bags into a search and be disappointed because it was just a broken link before
That's the thing - the more categories, the more item lists, the more likely you (anyone) are to forget to add it some place xD; Heck, Enchants are crazy enough @_@
Anyway, I'm more trying to understand the specific criteria for a "Package". At the top of the Category:Shopping Bags you have "Shopping bags are Cash Shop items purchased with NX. Upon use, they will reward a specific Designer Set." Is a Package a bundled set of shopping bags/pets? I think a Package category would be more suited for things like the Booster Packs you can get from the Cash Shop. Would you agree?
I can understand why the wiki would be behind with all the Cash Shop items - there are so many and they vary and there are similiar items but slightly different and blargh @_@ I think that's why some things haven't been added to the wiki - People can go to the Mabinogi website and see the special items there for themselves, but for specific items the wiki can provide more information (like what certain clothing looks like in-game, or what can be traded and what can't).
