Hence the difference between your replacement and mine. On yours, there was no plausible reason for a replacement; on mine, there was.

Wrong. The white draws the attention away from the weapon, being the brightest color in the image, making it hard to focus on the atlatl itself. You're welcome to argue that "Oh, it's not part of the weapon itself, however, it still applies that it distracts from the detail of the weapon. This is no different than the white cancelling out the two shades, it's a distraction/prevention from the detail of the weapon. This is the whole point for not having white in images.

Edit: Also, pretty sure the wiki policy is just no white.

Then going by your logic, we must scour the wiki of every image where the brightest color is not on the object in focus. Aka photoshopping every background black among others, and banning people with light colored skin from modeling darker objects.

Mabinogi World Wiki:Policy#Image Policy: Also be aware that if you use colors that are light or dark enough to obscure details they may be replaced.

User:LexisMikaya/Optimizing Pictures to Wiki Standards:Avoid using bright colors that may transition into white under certain lighting conditions.

Holy. Shit. All of you. Just. Stop.

One last time: It's a fucking picture for a fucking wiki. Get over it.

It's clear people get pretty upset over nitpicking of the atlat, but it's okay to revert mine for reasons that are equally silly.
