Herb Patches question

Herb Patches question

Does the "5 per day" refer to a minimum of 5 a day, or a maximum of 5 a day or something? I have a Red Herb patch in my homestead, and what I've getting the past few days is something along the lines of 8 bloody herbs, 8 bloody herbs, (apple tree is now planted after the previous two days) 6 bloody herbs, 8 bloody herbs. This is all without any lucky bonus, so assuming that it's a minimum of 5 a day, does anyone know if there is a maximum limit to this too?

(sorry if this is all very unclear, I'm not good at explaining things)

I get 8 without a bonus and without a tree, 9 with a tree.

So not sure if I'm just lucky or if the wiki is wrong about the 5 thing.

I'm fairly sure the wiki is wrong. I've only had brand new patches give me only 5 herbs; patches that have been refilled generally give me at least 6. I've gotten 8 herbs from a patch on a homestead with absolutely NO trees on it.

It seems that it might depend on the character/patch.

Some patches seem to always give me 5 + 1(tree). Others always give me 8 + 1(tree).

I as well. Some of my Mana Herb Patches give 5 and some of them give me 7 or 9. I think the amount of Herb Patches plays a role in the quantity chance.

I think it might be more of chance/time than whether it rains. Just picked again today, I got 9 bloody herbs (8+1 from apple tree) and it wasn't raining at all.

It's due to hidden weather effects that's randomized each time you enter your homestead. This can be checked with a Potion Making Kit or Handicrafting Kit and checking your % rates with that.
