Elemental Masteries and Combining Bolt Magic

Would the Master title of Bolt Mastery improve the overall damage of the fused magic when used with Magic Bolt Combination? Or would only the master title for Magic Bolt Combination work?

The Bolt Mastery master title does not affect Fusion Bolt.

But would the Bolt Mastery skill itself affect damage for the (Bolt 1) and (Bolt 2) parts of the equation? I'd assume so, but the page explicitly mentions just the element masteries.

I had rank 1 Bolt Mastery before I got Fusion Bolt. I don't know if it does, I have not seen my Fusion Bolt damage without it.
