Becoming the God

Becoming the God

I'm pretty sure anyone can become God. Nuadha just chose the Milletian to do so.

However, there's no evidence he can do that. If he did, he could have made EVERY SINGLE HUMAN in the War of Mag Turiedh or w/e into Gods to triumph Fomorians. Plus he admitted to being weak.

It's also most likely a ruse to just get the Milletian to help him become all powerful.

Infodude57519:55, 4 September 2011

It probably was a ruse. As for the wars, Nuadha didn't have the power of Aton Cimeni's throne back in the wars. And now that I think of it, I'm pretty sure any mortal can become a lower-tier god if they somehow found a method to. (By lower-tier I mean like Morrighan, Nuadha, Neamhain, etc. and not Lymilark, Hymerark, Jeamiderark, and Aton Cimeni.) It may also be that any god can turn a non-god into a god (but not turn them back, which is why Nuadha may have not done so in the wars, to stay in authority). But for now, anything we say is not canonical so lets just leave this out.

Authority? Do Deities really need that?

I mean, Macha quit her job as a Goddess and later wreaked havoc upon Erinn while the Deities did nothing but stare down on their dying world.

Infodude57520:19, 4 September 2011

She quit her responsibility, yes, but not her goddess-powers. If Nuadha turned every soldier in his army into a god, then they'd all be at his level, be strong enough to overthrow them. (Personally, I think he should've made them all demigods if he had the ability to.)

Pyro - (Talk)20:22, 4 September 2011

Ah, right, I musta overlooked that.

Speaking of Demigods, I wonder how the Daols serve HIM AND ONLY HIM.

Infodude57520:23, 4 September 2011

They're probably just really devoted disciples?

Pyro - (Talk)20:39, 4 September 2011

you two make the greatest intellectual debate I ever read. :)

but I dont agree with "ability to become god" because it sound as if you have power to turn yourself into god, rather than from other's help such as Nuadha.

Fallenonesigniture.PNG20:51, 4 September 2011

Should I be 'lol'ing at your comments or appreciating them? Or both? :P

Infodude57520:59, 4 September 2011

Agreed. But I'm not sure if every mortal does or does not have the "potential" to become a god.

Pyro - (Talk)20:54, 4 September 2011

I don't really understand what this meant...

Infodude57521:00, 4 September 2011

The soldiers from the wars were Tuatha de Danann. It is possible that gods can only turn Milletians into gods, but it may also be that Nuadha wanted revenge on the Tuatha de Danann because of the war, so he'd only turn the Milletians. And, of coarse, he may have also been bluffing to the Milletians as you said, and never had the ability to turn anyone into a god. The point is, there's no way of proving anything so lets just leave anything about becoming a god out of this page.

Pyro - (Talk)21:05, 4 September 2011

Hold up, didn't Nuadha only want revenge on TdD because they insulted him and left him to die?

Infodude57521:14, 4 September 2011

Hold up, didn't Nuadha want revenge because the TdD insulted him and left him to die? He coulda just turned them into Gods before any of that happened.

Infodude57521:16, 4 September 2011

That's assuming he can turn people (specifically Tuatha de Danann) into gods. So, what's your point?

Pyro - (Talk)21:31, 4 September 2011

Um... I don't really know...

Perhaps to avoid all of this conflict?

Infodude57521:55, 4 September 2011

What are you talking about?

Pyro - (Talk)21:58, 4 September 2011

lol

so you guys are saying we dont know if Milletian are the "only" one that has potential to become god?

Fallenonesigniture.PNG22:00, 4 September 2011

Exactly.

Pyro - (Talk)22:00, 4 September 2011

We're also discussing if we don't know if they CAN become Gods as well. We all know that Nuadha turning people into Gods is a lie. Well, unproven but still a lie.

Clearly, no one is turning into Gods.

Infodude57522:07, 4 September 2011

We don't necessarily know he was telling the truth or not. Right now nobody's becoming gods because we stopped him before he can kill Morrighan then continue on his marry way.

Pyro - (Talk)22:15, 4 September 2011

Hm...

Didn't Esras try to become a Goddess via Tabhartas? I don't actually remember where they said "Goddess" since its etched into my brain for some reason...

In any case, that pretty much proves Milletians ARE NOT the only ones to become Gods/Goddesses.

Infodude57520:25, 8 September 2011

I kind of remember that too, although there's nothing saying Esras is or isn't a Milletian, to my memory. Ignore me if I'm remembering wrong.

Pyro - (Talk)21:04, 8 September 2011

Found it.

Also, Esras = Dead, so it's impossible for her to be a Milletian.

Infodude57522:25, 8 September 2011

Ah, true, forgot that. But that doesn't necessarily mean everyone can. Let's assume she's Tuatha De Danann. That doesn't mean the Partholon, Tir/Fir Bolg, or Fomors can. But, it may be any mortal can as well.

Pyro - (Talk)00:31, 9 September 2011

The whole point of this subject was if Milletians were or were not the only ones to become Deities.

Since Esras (who is most likely Tuatha De Danann since she's dead) found a way to transcend to transcend into one of them, it proves that Milletians are not the only ones who can gain such a feat.
