Rest and Aggromini

Rest and Aggro

"The player is vulnerable to attack while Resting, although some monsters may not respond aggressively unless they already are in the aggressive state (e.g. Gray Wolves)."

I don't think this is true. IIRC gray wolves aren't naturally aggressive unless you're in combat mode.

It's saying once they're already in an aggressive state. ie. you smack a wolf and sit down, it'll attack because you drew its aggro. walk up to a wolf and sit down, and it'll just notice you.

Both statements are technically correct, since you aren't in combat mode when Resting.

The thread was created over 5 months ago by info because he didn't understand what he quoted. I explained the quote with an actual example, so I would hope that the 2 statements are both in agreement.

Actually, I asked because Mysticskye put it under hidden tags for verification.

While it is true the player can be attacked during Rest, Gray Wolves don't ever aggressively aggro (!!) regardless of whether the player using Rest. I'm mostly focusing on the "although some monsters may not respond aggressively" part, because Rest doesn't do it for the Gray Wolves.

While we're on the topic, are there any monsters that DO behave differently if you're using Rest vs just in Normal mode?
