Add another blue row above "Today's Daily Missions"?
Collapsible link,labelled Active[or Current?] Events: (#), with the number corresponding to the number of events.
On the plus side, it would make it closer to the same size as the server status box. No idea how troublesome it would be to make.
or if it's easier, just make it a blue box like how the "Current version" box is, at the top of the scrolling section.
