A current events bar?
It's a bit strange that events are listed in the general news.
Why not list the events at the top of the news, or show them separately just below the introduction, in addition to how it is now?
Indeed supported. Probably much easier to edit too.
Also considering the bard event ended 15 min ago.
Is it certain that the bard event is over? We've been getting false alarms every few days for the last month.
Since Health mentioned 'top of the news' I drew up a little suggestion.

I couldnt think of anywhere else to put it that wouldnt break the page up. The sitenotice would work, but that'd be on every page, which might become a bit bothersome. But having too few events ongoing with this would just leave you with a tiny text in the center of nowhere.
Maybe we could rename "Daily Shadow Missions" to "Today's Missions and Events" and join the events with the shadow mission template, or put them in a new table under it or something.
I like the main page a lot the way it is. For me, having some sort of current events bar somewhere would just be (possibly minor) clutter, or an undesirable change if the events were taken out of the news. I seem to be in the minority, though. I favor Kevin's original idea over Angevon's, although hopefully with a less obtrusive font than in the example image. x)
Add another blue row above "Today's Daily Missions"?

On the plus side, it would make it closer to the same size as the server status box. No idea how troublesome it would be to make.
or if it's easier, just make it a blue box like how the "Current version" box is, at the top of the scrolling section.
