Still need no-white?

'Cause I thought the point of that policy is to distinguish the separate components, which are still distinguishable on these pictures even while the majority of the mask is white. So does this article's pictures still need to be replaced?

Sometimes equipment also contains a gradient which a black or white dyed part loses. So yes, a new picture is wanted.
