Changes to Permissions
I edited the wiki files so that users who are not autoconfirmed can not make User pages, but can still use the talk page. I also changed the autoconfirmed time to 3 days and 10 edits instead of automatic. All users must have a confirmed email to make wiki edits as well.
Is it possible to make autoconfirmed maybe 30 edits? 10 can be easily spammed, especially multiple small edits to the same page. It's alright if not, thanks.
I changed it to 30 as requested. Also, I need to talk with you and Angevon some time soon about revamping the policy page. Do you have proper access to the staff section of the forum?
It doesn't seem that the permission changes worked. A new user was able to create a userpage w/o any contributions.
It seems they forgot to change 2 settings in one of the setup files...going to try to get ahold of IJ again...
Actually, I think it's working, but for some reason Touzoku is considered autoconfirmed so he was able to make his userpage despite not having the contributions. So, it might be a problem with autoconfirm parameters. Maybe uploading an image makes someone autoconfirmed? idk.
We had a couple of people try to make non-User pages for themselves, and I checked and they are both not autoconfirmed (User:Seihn and User:Akumari135). ie. they couldn't make it at User: so they tried to make it somewhere else. Or so I think...
I changed the parameters one my time. Do note that members who made accounts before I implemented the change will not be affected because they are already autoconfirmed. I will have to find another work around for those who are already autoconfirmed but dont have the required post count.
I think the problem is that as soon as someone uploads a picture, it makes them autoconfirmed. Khenta, please find a way to fix this.
The previous user User:Darkinoku was also created before all of this. I don't think uploading a picture makes them autoconfirmed.
