Thunderstroak Oak Staff

Can you actually use adv magic and charge int magic with thunderstroak staff? Otherwise it belongs in gathering tools, not staves list, since it's primary use is for the ecology skill.

It does seem like gathering is the only purpose, as, from what I can tell, it cannot cast int/adv magic. Although, the itemdb does not strictly consider it as a tool, either. Limbo...
