Unless it's just me, I'm completely sure that you don't need aggro to train the skill. I've gotten the skill to r1 using mostly Mongoose by the Rano camp (which don't even notice your existence).

I assume you're talking about crisis escape. Whenever I used it with no monster present, or without the attention (not agro; fox/mongoose running around you for example) of a monster, I would receive no training.

Whoops, meant to put this in crisis training talk. Anyway, I received training so as long as there was a mongoose near me even if it wasn't watching me (!)

I've tried it on a rat (which doesn't aggro/notice), I didn't get any training.

Managed to get training off of a rat in dunby.

I can make a 5 sec video proof if interested

I zipped to a dunby rat on a nimbus then used CE right away, nothing was trained. However, when I waited out the cooldown and stood next to the same rat, I got training.

My guess is that rats have a "hidden" aggro...?
