Don't vandalise other people's user pages ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 03:07, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

I'm not committing vandalism, I actually spoke to Hoam over Skype while we made our wiki pages. He laughed at the fact that I put what I put where I put it. Please don't accuse people of doing things before you have the slightest clue about what they did; although, on the bright side, that table you made on your user page is pretty cool o= (work on your skills more than you work on wiki = =;)

Gotta love the trololol of people who spend way too much time editing and not enough time working on social skills or a decently ranked smash. Christrock 02:19, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

Notice that I'm an elf and not a melee one. ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 03:06, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

Damage

Congrats on figuring out what the koreans knew for years prior to the game coming out, also that only covers max damage. Please do not add this back to the status page. When you contribute, do not put your name in the contribution. The wiki is for clean, easy to understand information, not for wiki-glory. Your contributions are viewable in the history tab of articles you've contributed to. Tellos 21:42, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

I was only going for covering max damage, and I don't look into game file like some people. Also I cannot find this formula anywhere on wiki, so I simply made it easy to use. If you look in any forums its not very hard to find out that less experienced people would like to know their max damage so they can find out if they can get "golem slayer in a single blow" or "bear slayer in a single blow". I have no problem in you taking out my name from my contribution, but the entire reason I made that post is so that people can find out their max damage with minimal difficulties. Thank you for informing me about the history tab though, I was unaware of what that was. I cannot oblige your plead for me to not add the damage formula though, too many people need it... The whole reason I put it up is because my friend told me to after he asked if I knew how to find max damage for melee and range. :\ And if the koreans put the f**king damage formula up them selfs than I wouldn't even have to post this, so don't give me that bs, hell if the koreans (nexon) put all the data from the game on wiki there would be no wiki, there would just be "Mabinogi lookup:_________". = =; And if you really want me to put the minimum damage in there too, I would be happy to, it is only a little different than the max damage formula so I found it pretty obvious and thus irrelevant to include.

Strength states its damage addition as do Dex and Int. Maximum damage is only part of how damage is calculated. If you had a warhammer with 90 max and 10 min and you end up with 10% balance, you won't be doing much damage at all. Please read articles extensively before you edit them to be sure the information is there. The wiki is a collaborative effort. If you want to contribute you'll need to do it with the other members. Just because someone asks if something is on the wiki does not mean it is not there. I, as well as several others users patrol pages and recent changes to be sure that all information is up to date and accurate. Also be sure to read the wiki policy. I am aware that if you look around you will find the information you want, but why can't it all be in one place and easy to use? Isn't that the purpose of the wiki? not "go look at str, now look for your enchant, now look at your damage, now go to the dex page to find out how much bal you get, and then calculate what your normal damage might be if you didn't mess up somewhere, then find the defense formula on a different page and factor that in, then apply elemental bonuses or reducers." Even if the data is all there and easy to find, a lot of people have really bad connections and each wiki page takes five or more minutes to load, so just finding out something they can plug into a formula in three minutes could take upward of a half hour, and might have mistakes of their own (like parenthesis in the wrong spots when calculating damage).

All that information can be found here, here, and here all in one convinient location. Tellos 22:46, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

Cool, three links to one page that don't tell me where to include a modifier and critical, or how to run it through a defense/protection calculation, or where to increase/decrease my damage done because of elements.

  • I am a frequenter of wiki, and I am also over level 1.5 thousand, so please stop talking to me as if I just found wiki yesterday, right after I found out how to download the game.
Let's not play this game again for the 3rd time. --κєνıи тαıĸ«) 23:05, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

For once something we can agree on. ( not putting a sig here on purpose because this is the last post of this discussion, and i hardly think that you would try to keep it going after saying to end it :x )

Mabinogi_World_Wiki:Policy#User_talk_and_other_Talk_Page_Policies. Didn't read the policy, I suppose? --kaede-kit 23:13, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

Policy

Hi, please read our image policy. You must limit your images to 1024 x 768 resolution. A few of your pictures violate this, so they will be deleted. So reupload them at a smaller resolution before that happens. --- Angevon (Talk) 00:07, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

Also, please use the preview function so you won't spam Special:RecentChanges with your edits. --- Angevon (Talk) 00:09, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
I'm just gonna tear down my wiki page, this is too many rules just to help people .-. Zilther1 01:57, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
If you want to help people try the forums or IRC chat. The wiki itself is to list/document all possible game info for reference. Think of it like an encyclopedia dedicated to the mabinogi universe. Tellos 03:21, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
