Website Description

Loiscneach reminisces about the times when the mountains were alive. Experienced mountainkeepers expertly discover snow-covered mountain trails, and remember the days when their footprints were left on every slope. Years have passed and Loiscneach finds himself as the only mountainkeeper to traverse the snowy mountain. His daily routine encompasses checking that the shelters throughout the mountain are filled with firewood. Something sinister has entered the quiet and perpetual life of Loiscneach... Something unknown.

Description

A lean and reticent man stands before you. His hair is the color of unripened wheat, done up in a halfhearted braid that spills over his shoulder. With eyes of pale and mossy green he quietly scans his surroundings. A small lantern dangles loosely from his belt, the sunlight glinting off its thick glass panes.^[1]

Loiscneach is a lone mountainkeeper overseeing the area of Sliab Mis. He is a seasoned guide, and has a very cautious nature. Due to his isolation, he is not used to talking for long periods of time and will question things he is not entirely certain of.

He once had fellow mountainkeepers with him in Sliab Mis, but they all disappeared due to unknown circumstances. After the player clears the Dark Dreams of a Winter Wind storyline, he stays posted near the entrance of Glenn Bearna.

Players that speak to him too much in a single Erinn day may change channels in order to keep interacting with him, as he otherwise will refuse any further interaction for a set amount of time.

Loiscneach means both firewood and burning in Irish.
- Firewood as in fuel for a fire, not necessarily wood.
- Burning as in a sensation of heat, not the act of being on fire.
His bow is identical to the Highlander Long Bow, except with 18 durability instead of the base 16, and a specific description.
- His arrows also appear to be identical to Finest Handmade Arrow, also with its own specific description.
