Dark Dreams of a Winter Wind Questline

• Dark Dreams of a Winter Wind is a story-oriented Sidequest that grants access to the Glenn Bearna dungeon.
• To start this Sidequest, have Arcana Link Stage 1 in any Arcana.
  • However, to complete the second part of the questline, a Total Arcana Level of 50 is required to enter Glenn Bearna.
  • During the The Scouts' Snowy Summer Warm-Up Event, players can complete up to A Flame of Burning Cold if they have one of the following:
    • Completion of Blaanid's Memory Book's Third Volume.
    • Completion of Generation 1: Advent of the Goddess.
    • Completion of the Arcana Guide Quests up to Lighting the Arcana's Flame.
      • During the Event, the quests from Dark Dreams of a Winter Wind to A Flame of Burning Cold will have a lowered difficulty.

Instruction	Talk to Padan in Tara Inspect the unconscious cat on the street in Tara The cat is located in an alley between Lezzaro and Tara's Bank. Talk to Laco the Trade Helper at the Emain Macha Trading Post Make 1 Iron Bar Iron Bars require a Blacksmith Manual from Gilmore or Granites to craft and at least 1 Iron Ingot. Deliver the Iron Bar to Aodhan in front of the Emain Macha Castle If you chose Somewhere distant the next quest is [Content] Rumors Heard Nearby. Otherwise you will enter the Shadow Mission, A Meeting with the Master. Simply watch the cutscene. You will be awarded 100,000 EXP and 5,000 Gold for completing the Shadow Mission. Instruction	Talk to Trefor in Tir Chonaill You will enter the Shadow Mission, The Fianna Geimhridh. Follow the Fianna Geimhridh into Sidhe Sneachta. The Fianna Geimhridh will be sapping the life out of an Unconscious Girl. You must defeat the Fianna Geimhridh while preventing the Unconscious Girl from losing all her HP. The Unconscious Girl gradually takes damage from the cold weather of Sidhe Sneachta every second and has very little HP. If the Fianna Geimhridh is allowed to remain close to the Unconscious Girl, the Girl will take approximately x2~x5 more damage. The Unconscious Girl can be Healed with Skills such as Healing or Hand of Restoration. The Fianna Geimhridh does not attack you and instead teleports around Sidhe Sneachta. The Fianna Geimhridh will occasionally spawn 2 White Dire Wolves and 2 White Dire Wolf Cubs. They do not attack you and do not need to be attacked. Players may be able to corner the Fianna Geimhridh against a wall, even with its teleportation. Upon defeat the Fianna Geimhridh will drop 3 Strange Firewood that the player must collect to finish the Mission. Trefor will take care of the Unconscious Girl during this time. You will be awarded 100,000 EXP and 5,000 Gold for completing the Shadow Mission. Examine the unconscious girl Inspect the Strange Firewood You will receive 50,000 EXP and 5,000 Gold for completing the quest.

Use the Rest Skill near the Campfire then burn the Strange Firewood in the Campfire when prompted. You must burn the Firewood one by one. You will be awarded 0 EXP and 0 Gold for completing the Shadow Mission. Talk to the now-conscious girl You will receive 50,000 EXP and 5,000 Gold for completing the quest.

Loiscneach will quiz you on the book, respond: Mourne Mountains Moonhide Gorge Wear a robe and talk to Loiscneach The Robe must be worn in the Gear Inventory. Timed Prompt: What kind of preparations? Remain silent Stay Quiet Talk to Loiscneach in the Northern Field of Sidhe Sneachta Prompt: Ask if he can open the way or Stay Silent Talk to Loiscneach at the entrance of Sliab Mis Timed Prompt: Glenn...Bearna? Unlike the previous Fianna Geimhridh, this one will mix attacks into its combat. Defeat the Fianna Geimhridh and continue on the path. You will be awarded 100,000 EXP and 5,000 Gold for completing the Shadow Mission. Talk to Loiscneach again Investigate the entrance to Glenn Bearna Enter Glenn Bearna and retrieve Loiscneach's firewood You only will need to complete the frozen lake entrance room of Glenn Bearna to obtain the Winter's Whisperflame that completes the quest. This means after you get Cailleach down to 95% HP and enter the separate Timelines you are free to leave if you do not want to complete a run. Until you progress more with through the questline you will not be able to reenter Glenn Bearna. You will receive 50,000 EXP and 5,000 Gold for completing the quest. Your Winter's Whisperflame will disappear and you obtain a Afterglow Firewood.

You will receive a Letter to Sinead. Deliver the letter to Sinead in the Reception Room When prompted for the name of the mountainkeeper, the correct answer to progress is "Loiscneach". Talk to Eirawen in the Throne Room You will receive a Letter to Duncan. Deliver the letter to Duncan in Tir Chonaill Investigate the environs around Glenn Bearna Talk to Loiscneach in Sliab Mis. You will receive a Winter Forest Mobile. You will receive 50,000 EXP and 5,000 Gold for completing the quest. You will obtain the "who Witnessed Winter's End" 1st Title and a Journal entry.
