The Scared Royal Guard is a guard that was present during the assassination of Ethur Mac Cuill the Second and was also at the scene where the assassin was caught.

He explains what he saw to the Irritated Physician, who stated that the person who assassinated the King was neither Tuatha de Danann nor Milletian and apparently was wearing green. He also saw a pair of horrifying eyes, remarking it was scarier than Glas Ghaibhleann himself. The Physician gives the guard a glass of water and tells them to calm down and start over from the beginning. The assassin was apparently bigger than Glas Ghaibhleann and described him as a "great green thing." The assassin charged at a friend and he stood there frightened. the assassin then looked at the guard and he fainted. Glewyas awoke the guard with repeated slaps. He then question how did he end up in the kitchen. Then he realizes he wasn't talking about the assassin but Glewyas. The guard was apparently in the kitchen eating something Glewyas cooked up. The Physician says that the guard was not coherent, speaking gibberish, and that he was there when it happened and was probably at the wrong place at the wrong time. The Guard speaks up saying that he is no coward and someone else could have done worse. The Physician says someone (the Milletian) is here to see the him and ask some questions. The Physician says speaking calmly will not do anything and suggests they shout. Doing what the Physician said, the Guard realizes that there was a white feather hanging from the waist of the assassin.
