Bow and Wand

When it says that they will attack 6 targets, does that mean that they have to be 6 different targets or can you use this on a loan monster and have all 6 attacks hit it? --Jacobpaige 17:28, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

6 DIFFERENT targets. If there's only 1 monster, it'll only hit that 1 monster once. --Zephyre

Critical Hit

Is it possible to get one? If so, will it be affected by your critical hit skill? --Jacobpaige 17:31, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Let's not forget that each Ego has their own critical hit rate. I would think that would more apply to the Incarnate's Critical than your critical rate alone. Besides, you can't get higher than a 33% critical chance. --redemption2 19:28, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
I was actually referring to the crit damage, if I have r1 crit will a rF Blunt Incarnate do 750-1750 damage when it crits or will the damage ignore my Critical hit skill? Also, that cap is only after you account for the enemies protection, so being able to include my own crit chance or the crit bonuses afforded by enchantments is important as well. --Jacobpaige 23:06, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Remember that the Incarnate skill is still a skill. I'd assume that all passives will affect the damage of the skill, this including Critical Hit (Which means that rank 1 crit and rank F Blunt incarnate will do 750~1750 if a crit is scored).
Yes, Critical Hit skill does affect the damage when a critical hit is scored. So having a higher rank critical hit does help. --Miyuna

Caps

Does anyone know if the Spirit Caps are still in effect? I've heard that you can train past level 40, but you don't gain any stats, if this is true, does the Incarnate skill (Such as rank 5 which requires 41 Social) rank up, or stay at rank 6? --Zephyre2:30, 8 March 2009 (EST)

Charging Energy

Can anybody confirm that talking to the Spirit charges energy? By "talking", is it actual conversation? As in, do you have to click Private Story, Rumors, etc? Or can we spam '/'? I've been trying to converse with the Spirit to charge energy by both spamming '/' and actual conversation without any results. Anybody else notice this, or am I just doing it wrong? EnigmaticFractal 10:25, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

I've noticed this too, though I got the data from the jWiki. I'll check that out to see what people have commented about it. --Zephyre4:37, 3 April 2009 (EST)

"Effect on Weakest"

Apparently, Sword Egos -can- charge their bar on weakest enemy. Can anyone other than me confirm this? -- Miyuna

This appears to be partly correct when I tried it in Rabbie Basic; King Mimics and Spike Laghodessas (Similar-level) gave charge on both skills (Smash, Windmill) and normal attacks, but Gray Town Rats (Weakest) only gave charge on normal attacks. -- Duet 03:44, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
I see so normal attacks work for all and skills don't work for weakest. I never realized that skills didn't work. I thought weakest counted because I got charge with normal attacks. Now it makes more sense. Greensypurps 18:38, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

Ignoring Protection

I am starting to suspect that the Spirit Awakenin Skill ignores the target's protection. With my Spirit Bow, I have 56.5% critical chance. Yet, when I used it, I was able to critical hit Siren. Can anyone else do a second person confirmation on this? -- Miyuna

I too believe that Spirit Awakening ignores the target's Protection rate as well. If I recall correctly, I've gotten a critical hit on Slates while I had 55% Critical. I don't know for sure if it ignores Protection completely as I haven't been able to see the damage counters at all simply because it happens too fast. EnigmaticFractal 01:53, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

Etc.

Can anyone post some pictures of what happens when Spirit Awakening is used for Bow,Wand, and Blunt?

Incarnate Effect

The bottom of this wiki pages states that the Incarnate effect changes at 26 social. However, I see no difference between the Incarnate effect at 21-25, and the one beginning at 26. Is the effect implemented yet? Or am I just missing some minor detail of the effect? The cutscene still seems to be the same, and the strands of light from my bow still seem to be the same as well. Any ideas? EnigmaticFractal 06:35, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Ego Feeding increases 5 points

Apparently, sometimes you get the message "Your Spirit's Intellectual and Spiritual Appetite grows" right before your ego goes hungry. If you feed it right away you will get +5 charge. Also, even more amazing is that even if you use your ego incarnate skill and your energy bar is still replenshing, it will still give you the +5 charge, making it easier to do it again. Can anyone else confirm this but me? -- Miyuna

Confirmed, but with one minor detail. I noticed that you don't have to feed it to gain the +5 charge. For me, it gains that much energy shortly afterwards. With this small change, I'm actually over the supposed charge limit for my ego. I should only be able to charge 130 points, but I have 132 instead due to the odd number from the Appetite message, and the even number from attacking. EnigmaticFractal 18:29, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

Magic Icon

Can somebody who hs a spirit wand upload it? - A Random User 02:00, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

The wife and I both have spirit wands. The icon looks exactly the same as the sword one. Demaetri (Talk) 09:35, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

Wand Incarnation "Colors"

When the ego wand incarnates, it shoots off lazers of a certain color. That color is determined by the type of wand that is used for the ego. Fire wands emit red/orange, ice blue, electric white, and healing green. This is information purely for the female wand ego. I do not have any information on the male. Should this be on this page or is it not really important to know/consider?--Demaetri (Talk) 09:43, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

I'd include it if we can also figure out what the combat wand, and Ditte's sacred wand do. Edetha 03:34, 16 January 2011 (PST)

switching spirit weapon types

this is purely out of curiosity, but lets say you have the social level on your blunt weapon to, say, rank A of the awakening skill. will the skill remain rank A if you talk to dorren and get a wand spirit and simply change to a wand awakening (assuming the social level doesnt decrease to rank B level) or will there be some overhang that prevents you from using wand awakening right away? I have been thinking about transfers a lot lately and just want to see what happens at higher levels. However this is expensive and i would understand if people dont want to test it.

Vorthod (talk)14:40, 25 February 2013

Assuming it doesn't decrease in level, yes, it will just remain as it was before, with the ability to use awakening as soon as it has been transferred.

I noticed my Spirit BW Awakening icon in the Skill Window has changed. It showed a sword before, and now it's a mace. File:Spirit Weapon Blunt Awakening.png

Are there different icons for bow/wand awakenings, and shouldn't we include them on the page?

Eralea17:41, 21 December 2011

Yes, there are different images now.

kaede-kit (Talk)19:14, 21 December 2011

They were already on the page in <!-- --> hidden tags. They weren't supposed to be changed until G15S4, when Spirit Cylinders also come out. All of those icons already exist on this wiki so I'm going to edit you post's icon to the correct one and nominate the one you uploaded for deletion.

Oh, that's good we got an update early. Sorry I didn't notice the hidden tags.

False Information?

"However, the skill cannot be used consecutively due to the cooldown period."
I'm pretty sure this is false. Spirit Awakening costs at least 100 energy to use. Once you use the skill, you have to wait for the lost energy to recover so that you can fill your energy bar in order to use it again. At later ranks, the cooldown for the spent energy still applies but you have enough energy to use the skill multiple times. I'm one social checkpoint away from testing it myself but i've seen other players use the skill in quick succession. Can anyone else confirm/deny? Thanks.

-Kaeporo17:46, 6 February 2011

It has a cooldown. You can't use it consecutively regardless.

You can load-cancel spam it though.
