Effects & evaporation

When an equipment is enchanted by this item, on death, is it possible to lose the holy flame effect AND drop the item simultaneously? EDIT: Is it also lost on a failed repair?--§ýkÌ☼ 03:07, 3 November 2010 (PDT)

Increase stat?

What's meant by "increase your stat"? IHarryl 13:01, 15 August 2010 (UTC)

Like increase strength, int, dex, luck, etc. Sorry for unclarifying it.Fallenone 13:04, 15 August 2010 (UTC)

Multiple effects for few stats?

Why does it have multiple effects listed for a few stats? BladeBlade 20:08, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

Because no one organized it. I would but I cannot read the requirements for the PTJ to get them and so I can't sort it out. Tellos 20:10, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

Losing Sanctification

Since items no longer drop upon death, does sanctification disappear 100% of the time when KO'd?

IDSd (talk)01:14, 2 January 2015

Overwrite?

Can you apply a holy flame over an item that has already been sanctified?

You can't apply a holy water of lymilark over an item that's already blessed...

You do realize that this is the Holy Flame discussion page and that blessing was never mentioned once in Kevin's question, right? :/

Sanctifying = using holy flame on an item
Blessing = using holy water of lym. on an item

Yinato00:04, 9 July 2012

In a sense, they're the same, just different effects...

Infodude57500:10, 9 July 2012

Um...how exactly are they the same then if they have different effects? One slows down durability loss, while the other promotes it. o-0

Yinato00:12, 9 July 2012

Ay, there couldve been a chance that you could sanctify over a sanctified item allowing you to overwrite the previous effect.

Sanctification and blessing work like Enchantment. But with more limitations, apparently.

Wait a minute.

Cannot be stacked with Holy Water of Lymilark.

Does that mean you can't bless a sanctified item at all, or does the blessing just overwrite the effects of the holy flame (and maybe vice-versa)?

Yinato00:29, 9 July 2012

You can't bless a sanctified item at all. And when you attempt to sanctify a blessed item, a warning will appear notifying you that the blessing will be removed.

Disregard that, I was looking for the wrong item.

Like sanctification, you will get a warning before you bless it notifying you that the sanctification will disappear.

Blessing will remove sanctify and sanctify will remove blessing. Just like putting an enchant on an item will overwrite any existing enchant.

Tellos00:33, 9 July 2012

So you could just bless a sanctified item and then reapply another holy flame to it if you weren't happy with the first effect as opposed to getting killed and waiting for it to drop then?

Yinato00:38, 9 July 2012

...ohright. LOL.

Thanks :P time to kill some holy water.

No problem. o3o

Thanks for explaining Blessing to me. Now can someone answer this question before I finish Corentin's PTJ?

Aaaaand the answer issssss. nope. Great. Now I have to get slaughtered before I can resanctify it.

Does manually dropping the item on the ground have the same effect as having it drop upon getting KO'ed?

Yinato00:07, 9 July 2012

Well, there goes having an easy way to do it then. -goes looking for a giant lion-

Auto Durability Decrease

I have a Holy Taillteann Two-handed Sword that I barely use and usually keep on one of my pets. I DID use it to 6/10 durability, and stored it on my pet for the rest of the time, not even touching it. I noticed, though, that the weapon LOST durability while in pet inventory despite the fact that it was never equipped all this time. Could anybody else confirm this and determine if this tidbit of info should be put on the page?
