Do the field bosses drop items or are they just to fight?
Cannot confirm for sure, but I know the bosses I've fought have dropped gold. --Jingulus 07:40, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
All of the field bosses are unaltered and all of them drop things they will normally drop. They are not modified in any way, and will de-spawn/run away eventually like most field bosses.
Wait, I have never attempted to go so close to an Arch Lich, but is it not female? And yea the time-span makes sense. Would things such as Giant Sand Worms spawn in twos?
I wouldn't know what gender is arch lich. never went to see one upclose. and everything spawns by itself. No pairs/triples/group spawns and they never spawn with anything else. However if they can summon anything, they can summon helpers. I believe the only field boss that can do that is Arch Lich and Ifrit.
Are you sure? Because Sand Worms normally spawn in twos. Also, can you summon a Sand Worm in, lets say, Solea Beach? There is technically no sand or snow for it to dig through.
What I meant is, does it still play the digging animation? It probably does, but I'm just wondering.
They will only spawn by themselves with no additional spawn/partner/group. you can summon them anywhere in Iria, provided you are allowed to summon them in the region you are in. They will behave as they will normally do, regardless of environment.
and yes, the animation will remain unaffected regardless of environment.
