Alexina TrickMaster disappearance

Anyone know if the Trick Master and the other event npcs have an error in there code for when they disappear? Because all 4 of them have been gone since midnight server time.

Jasott11:28, 12 July 2011

All npcs are still in Ruairi i think o_o Must just be something with the haaaaaaaaaaacks.

Fishstickys11:40, 12 July 2011

Yeah NPC movement is a part of the hacks going around. All the Dunby NPC's were actually having a party in the square one night.. and the convoy lead horse was flying on the back of someone's eagle another time..

Serious hacks are serious...

Fishstickys11:12, 13 July 2011

Dunno if this would be considered as "disappearing", but since the Trickmaster moved to Taillteann...even though the event date says it runs to August 2, he's not letting me do the card puzzle anymore. And dang it, the Marigold family's gone too...

AKAAkira11:36, 1 August 2011

I guess they ended the event early?

Feeeh...and I had all those cards collected...dangit.

AKAAkira18:19, 1 August 2011

...The Dunbarton Puzzlemaster has reappeared. He's still taking cards.

Instruction on the riddles

Since there a lot of people asking me on how to solve the riddle, I think there should be a section on how to do it. It's pretty simple:

First Riddle[edit]

This is probably the most fun and educational riddle you could get. Unless of course you hate math, and weren't very good at it in school. What? Mabinogi is actually secretly teaching us math? Anyway, all you have to do is solve the math equation in the back of the page to find the number for "[ ]", and use that number to determine the amount of each letter you should skip forward.

1.) Solve the number riddle on the third page of the book, for mine it's (236 428 3721 13[])... obviously (or not) it's a multiplication so times them (2x3=6, 4x2=8, 3x7=21, 1x3[3])
2.) Once you found out the number inside the box "[]", turn to the second page of the book and use it to decipher the code, for mine it was " Yixzh Pxka PZlomflk "
3.) Because we know that the keyword is [3], skip the letter on each "3 times". If the letter starts with Y skip it three times from "Z, then to A, then to B"
4.) If you done it correctly, the answer should be "Black Sand Scorpion".
5.) Go to the location of where the Black Sand Scorpion exists and defeat it.
6.) Once you defeated the monster, return to the Puzzlemaster for the reward.

Second Riddle[edit]

I got this type of riddle on my second one. But yours may differ:

" Behold, a hidden message! Within these letters is the name you seek. Once you remove my words, only the answer will remain. "

Believe it or not, this Riddle is alot more simple than you might think! Do as the passage says and use the sentence provided in the third page to remove a cube formed letters.

1.) My sentence is "I once had an orange balloon.", so I'm going to use each letters in the sentence to remove the letter provided in the cubical letters.
2.) The bold part represents letters that were not removed.

I B O N R C
E H O A W N
D A R N E O
I R N A N G
E B A D L E
L E O R O N

3.) If you take a closer look at the bolded letters, it's actually a codeword for "Brown Reindeer". So go find the monster and defeat it!
4.) After defeating the monster, return to Puzzlemaster for your reward.

Third Riddle[edit]

This is my third riddle, and probably the one most people are having problem with. I have to admit it is a little difficult and pretty time consuming. So I would advice you to follow this step, if and only you can't find the answer on Wiki, or you are just curious in figuring it out.

The first page in this book might contains a short story which might fool you, or in some case actually help you figuring out which monster you are suppose to hunt. However the tip in the last page of this book is the answer, but contains letters and numbers forming against each other like a secret coordinate. But that's exactly what it is! A coordinate for you to use so you could get the answer to know which monster you should hunt. But how do you go about doing that?

1.) Find the coordinate in the last page of the book. For mine, I have "D2A7D2C2D12G8 E13B15G19A7D615"
2.) So what are you going to apply the coordinate on? Interestingly it's the passage in the story itself. Whereas the Alphabet (ABCD..etc) would represent the paragraph from top to bottom, A being the first, and the number (1234..etc) would represents the amount of letter from left to right you're going to need to skip.

For instance (E13), E would represents Paragraph #5, and 13 would represents the amount of letters you would need to move from left to right (minus the symbols) in order to find the actual letter.

3.) If you done it correctly, you should get the answer, but for me it was "Cactus Lizard", where as E13 would represents the letter "L"

The fact that you have to do this for each one of the hidden letter is why I said earlier that this is very slow and time consuming, so again skip it and find the answer on Wiki if possible.

It's actually really simple, but some of these questions may be hard. So if you need any help, just ask away.

From what I saw on the event page there's different riddles, mine being:

TANH ISTI SEAA FTIN EEDR ESRS

-This is a fine dress.

Removing the letters of the sentence from jumble in order leaves the monsters name. _AN_ __T_ _E_A _T__ _E__ __R_

Leaving "Anteater" as my answer.

Third type of puzzle: G25E1B15C2B5 E1A7C1D6 E13E13A7B6A7

The letter is the "paragraph" and the number is the #th letter in said paragraph

G paragraph is: that exist beyond the zone of wisdom that man can hold. 25th letter in that is W.

Answer being "White Hair Llama".

Do not post answers, Post HOW to get them

I've found that even if you get the same book twice, the hint will be slightly different, thus causing you to get a different answer.

RedHound03:37, 1 July 2011

Still not sure how the code works. However, d6b5g15 e1a12d6g14 d2a12d10d6a7 is red horn cobra. I used the monster list to find a monster with a 3 word name with 3 letters, 4 letters, and 5 letters. If someone can figure out the code, it would be great.

Sayoko4704:45, 1 July 2011

Use the code in conjunction with the text on the "first" page, exactly like a look-up table.

Blitzfx08:41, 1 July 2011

In layman's terms... D is the 4th letter in the alphabet, therefore you move down to the 4th paragraph.
Then you count 6 letters (skipping spaces) and that would be R
B5 = down 2, over 5
G15 = down 7, over 15
etc...

My only gripe is that people are constantly using the Wiki page to spam quests so that they could get reward faster without doing much of the work, it's like having someone else doing their homework. While I don't mind posting instruction, and maybe answers to the hard one, it's just giving the whole answers to everyone is like providing them with a cheat sheet, while they don't have to do much of the brain work.

Honestly I don't think this is what NEXON intended for the event. It's different when you have a Question that would disappear from you in within 10 seconds if you don't get it right, compares to riddle where you have infinite amount of time to solve it.

Wiki should be about providing knowledge so that the individuals could solve thing on their own, instead of giving them the answer to their life problem.

Just my 2 cents.
