Splash Damage

Just wondering, what's the splash damage of this skill?

Infodude575 (talk)11:23, 4 August 2014

Splash Damage is 80%. Need someone to test what the range is.

Shuriken Charge on Frozen Enemy

I've definitely hit enemies frozen by Ice Spear / Ice Mine while fully charged, as opposed to uncharged which is what it currently says. However, sometimes I miss out of the blue, sometimes I hit; it's a really weird thing.

Is it possible that loading charge before or after the enemy gets frozen have something to do with that?

Infodude575 (talk)20:01, 12 August 2014

It might be a glitch or something. It can hit other unhittable enemies as well such as when red dragon is using meteor and lightning nothing else can really attack it then, and even glitched monsters that can't be hit by anything like a glitched sasquatch or ifrit. You can hit them without charging at all in the case of glitched ifrits.

I guess I haven't tested fully charged, but I've noticed my half-charges haven't been working so I just assumed fully didn't. Will have to play with it some more, and maybe amend that it can hit invincible enemies or something.

Sledeau (talk)03:14, 13 August 2014

It doesn't hit enemies in their invulnerability frames though, like Smash, Crisis, Monster Life Drain, etc.

Scratch everything I said, after further investigating it seems uncharged hits all of the above rather than fully charged. I think I must have gotten it mixed up with something else x.x

Infodude575 (talk)12:02, 13 August 2014

I know it's only occurred in Party play due to people spamming shuriken normals and such for repeated knockbacks. Running some tests to double check it.

1000 shuriken charges on foxes. none of them missed.

Is there a third charge?

When I hold the Shuriken Charge, I first have the basic throwing. THen the screen flashes. But holding it longer, you cam hear the spinning sound speeding up.

What this mean?

TNinja (talk)11:45, 29 July 2014

It's an extra aesthetic thing. There is no third charge; the damage it does is no different after the screen flash, as well as the full charge training requirement. If there was a third charge, this skill would be ridiculously overpowered.

2 Charge Damage Multiplier

Is it really 2.33x? I heard it's 2.00x.

With 335~442 damage, the 2x multiplier should make me hit around 2881~3801 at full charge non-crit. With the 2.33x multiplier, I would hit 3356~4428. However, I am hitting NOWHERE near 4k so the 2x multiplier seems more accurate.

Starting at Rank A, the skill can be charged up to two times

Really? Because I can charge it just fine at novice. Damnit, Mikaya!

Infodude575 (talk)16:09, 23 July 2014

It also seems to greatly increase splash radius as charged.

Meru (talk)06:17, 24 July 2014

Do we know the splash radius for any ranks at any charge level?

VocalMagic (talk)08:13, 24 July 2014

Doubtful. That splash range is pretty massive already.

Anyway, the part where it says you need to be at Rank A to charge this skill is wrong.

Infodude575 (talk)08:30, 24 July 2014

It does not say you need to be rank A to charge the skill.

You need to be rank A to charge the skill twice.

iDSd (talk)21:28, 24 July 2014

Really? Because I've definitely seen white flashes while under Rank A and I've asked two people with Rank F and they claim to have seen the flashes.

Infodude575 (talk)22:22, 24 July 2014

Rank 9 here. I do about the same damage as all the ranks before fully charged vs fully charged. Definitely not a huge boost like 1.75x to 2.33x. Same thing with rank 9 1 charge vs rank 9 full charge. The damage is practically the same, sometimes even lower.

Meru (talk)06:58, 25 July 2014

That definitely doesn't sound right. Sounds like a glitch to me.

I wonder what JP wiki says.
