Rarity and demand

Is there still demand for white herbs or do players not really need to use them these days?

Dra6o0n (talk)00:48, 10 December 2012

Not a whole lot. Especially if you're trying to sell them. Many people have very easy access to others who might have a herb pet.

They're still useful for potion-making, and are essential for training some levels. But then the same thing applies to Herbalism, so people tend to collect them for herbalism and use them for potion-making, rather than buying them. You only need one for the Grave with Violets placed on Top quest. So, can't see any reason why there would be a demand for them.

Polar Wasps and White Herbs

Polar Wasps in Physis' Silva Forest region will sometimes drop "gathering points" upon death.

You can gather with bare hands on these spots to obtain White Herbs. Up to 5 gathers can be done from a single dropped "gathering point".

Not sure if weather affects that, though.

Thank you, I forgot to put that here when I made the monster pages.

They become white herb gathering spots? Neat. I didn't realize that when I killed a few earlier.

It's not a 100% chance, but yeah.

Like Amethyst/Crystal Golems in Scathach drop metallurgy spots, these wasps sometimes drop gathering points.

Aside from disappearing after a few seconds (about the time it takes for a dead, finished, body to poof, they work like any old herb patches.

Not certain the Synthesis section should even exist on this page as it's just a random chance from synthesis, not an actual fixed recipe like Mana Herbs have. The previous recorded recipe on the page, Sunlight + Base + Wound 10 Pot for a 20% result seems to have been more fluke than anything, since I was unable to obtain even one white herb from several hundred of that combination, but managed to get two in three minutes from hp/stamina/marionette 30s, but those were also the only two I obtained in 120 of each.
