|Notes= *Only spawned during the Lunar New Year Event (2010).

• The event music is played in an area around them.
• Once they spawn, you have 20 minutes exactly to defeat them until they disappear.
  • Once they disappear you will have to wait two hours (real life time, the website says one hour but that is a misprint) for them to respawn.
  • Last noted spawn was at 12:40 PST on February 21st, you can do the math from there to work out the next spawn.
• The Lunar Lions will spawn at exactly the same time on every channel at all 3 locations (but not at the exact same spot).
• Lunar Lions can use Chain Casting Fireball, which deals low damage.
• The Lunar Lion Cubs have about a 50% chance to drop one of the following food items: Magic Fried Dumplings, A Large Helping of Magic Fried Dumplings, Two Servings of Magic Fried Dumplings and Rice Cakes.
• The Adult Lunar Lions are the only ones that drop the Red Lunar New Year Costume (M) & Red Lunar New Year Costume (F).
• The Lunar Lions have 100% Protection and will only take 1 damage from any and all attacks.
• The Lunar Lion Cubs have much less Protection than the Adult forms have.
• Lunar Lions will always spawn in a group of two Adults and 5 Cubs.
• Lunar Lions will always spawn in a kind of arrow formation with the 5 Cubs forming the V part.

|Advice=*Have a full party of 8 or more and use pets.

• Get it onto the wall and gradually have a party kill it.
• Avoid using attacks that slow others from attacking the Lunar Lions or that drain your own HP, such as Windmill.
• Use of Poison and Mirage Missile can help to kill the Lunar Lions but will only do 1 damage. The effects from these skills are not shown.
