Are the stats permanent?
The stat increases that you receive from taking the classes (+1 str, +1 int, etc) are they permanent?
Can you take the classes more than once?
The classes, one can't take more than once.
When the all three of the skill taught has been learned, one can't even initiate the classees.
From my experience, even if one learns Defense and Smash, as long as the final one hasn't been learned, Ranald will still teach all the classes one hasn't gone through yet. Still can't take a class more than once, though, though at least the stat boost is obtainable in that case.
As for the stat boost, I'd have to guess they're permanent. Another player I asked once told me so, and besides, I'm betting this is just like that book that give one point INT for reading it - one-use only, so there's little point keeping it only for one rebirth.
