I hear its just like the Renes Egg Guarding Minigame?

Infodude57513:22, 31 May 2012

Yes, except, the goal is to survive not protect.

Pyro - (Talk)13:28, 31 May 2012

You must also kill the mobs, course that's a given :l

S•A•R•I•A21:06, 31 May 2012

Does anyone know how many mobs there are when running this? Or is that unknown/random?

XMewxBerryx08:24, 1 June 2012

There's also multiple versions of the minigame, so unsure.

Pyro - (Talk)10:40, 1 June 2012

I dunno... I think we went 6 rounds, but then they despawned

Lt. Jessie11:42, 1 June 2012

Which mode were you on?

Pyro - (Talk)11:58, 1 June 2012

Mode? You mean like difficulty, or the area? If it helps, we were at the one at the southern end of Black Beach. As for difficulty, the one that broke it was over 1k total.

Lt. Jessie12:04, 1 June 2012

No, there is more than one version of the Forest Purification minigame.

Pyro - (Talk)12:07, 1 June 2012

Well, maybe that is something we can look into since I am not at all aware of this. I sort of just got dragged in by my guildies upon logging in.

Lt. Jessie13:07, 1 June 2012

I believe the message at the bottom of the screen varies between modes.

Pyro - (Talk)13:18, 1 June 2012

Message...? What message...? I assume this is seen at the time the tree is destroyed?

Lt. Jessie13:56, 1 June 2012

Most likely, similar to the start commercing message or bandit nearby.

Pyro - (Talk)15:00, 1 June 2012

Ah, so is it like the total level of the one who starts it that can change the spawns? Or is it another type of message? I was only called in by my guild leader during the second round and I left for an interview before we finished. From what I was told, our "mission" lasted for about 6~7 rounds, though no one kept count so I can't be 100% sure.

XMewxBerryx15:25, 1 June 2012

I don't know, I'm referring to what you must do.

Pyro - (Talk)16:12, 1 June 2012

I've tested it between my elf (which is on adv) and my main (which is on hard mode) and the messages are identical. I have a feeling the monsters are exactly the same, however I did not kill any mobs while doing the message tests, I only checked for the messages themselves... but, from what I can tell, there is only one message that appears. EDIT: To add to this, it might be from mode to mode there is an hp adjustment, or that the number of spawns that appears changes. I did not do any combat on either character, I only checked the message itself. It may be that the mission level is a hidden value?

EDIT2 http://i325.photobucket.com/albums/k363/xMewxBerryx/puretree.jpg Image from both, was going to include that in my previous edit and hit save too quickly.

XMewxBerryx16:38, 1 June 2012

Maybe if someone can get a super nub there and break it, then we can see if it's based on who broke it or not, but as for what needs to be done, it could be just clearing all the mobs in a set amount of time, at which that on its own could be another hidden value... There was only one video that I saw from the KR server, but I think that one was taken in mid-run and all they did was try to kill as fast as possible. So... Are you sure there are different 'modes', as in different objectives, that need to be fulfilled instead of just killing/surviving?

Lt. Jessie16:59, 1 June 2012

Sorry, that was what I was thinking of.

Pyro - (Talk)16:59, 1 June 2012

I assume those come out during the triggers of the various waves? oO;;; Because I know that last one shows up if you are successful. But I've never seen the others show up between waves.

Lt. Jessie17:02, 1 June 2012

@Lt. Jessie: Yes, those shop up at the start and between each wave during the process of clearing the mobs. :)

XMewxBerryx18:52, 1 June 2012

Then I guess to clear up Pyro's confusion, there really isn't multiple 'modes', but rather indications between waves... ^^;;;;
