Forest purification nerf? | 1 | 11:57, 6 December 2013 |
Is there any possible way somebody can only take 1 dmg from the mobs here? | 17 | 09:57, 5 June 2012 |

Did they nerf this at some point in the last 4 months or so? Because a friend and I just ran it just the 2 of us today and nothing hit us for more than like 5 damage unless it hit a critical or it was a WM from a golem(which crit for like 800 or so). I was just curious because it seems a lot easier than it was not too long ago.
Because...I saw 2 people (yes only 2 and they cleared it) doing this the other day and taking just 1 damage from everything I saw. Even a smash by a golem. It was only an elf using a bow too. One of them was hitting over 8k w/o trans or anything. I didn't even see blue or red upgraded bow. My only conclusion was that they were hacking or glitching. That's the only thing that seemed logical to me at the time.
- sigh*
People really want the rewards from this I guess.
Hacking/Glitching seems to be only possible way, unless you have some grand defense/protection reforges.
Well it sure as hell was NOT that person. And I even tried tanking one of the golems myself with windguard. I have r3 as well as r6 mana shield. I still took way more than 1 dmg...(they weren't even using mana shield).
Thanks. I guess that clears it up then. I'm not going to list names, but I did recognize one of them...
The only thing I was implying with the user page I posted was the highest protection through means of heavy use of enchants/buffs/titles...perhaps they took that stuff there and may have...well...upped the ante that they had protection reforges to go with a set like that or something...course it'd be best to not point fingers...I'm actually trying to make a protection set like that lol...but all that work o.e...
Nope...sadly that wasn't even close to the case. It was definitely 2 hackers/glitchers. Again one of them was an elf using a bow. No heavy armor, no shield and not using mana shield nor trans at all. I wasn't pointing fingers til I was sure, but I think it's pretty obvious now they weren't legitly that tanky AND doing 8k dmg. No, just no...not even close to possible.
yeah...that's hacking...:c
I'd report them :l of course...I'm not sure if Nexon actually bans anyone...but you never know.
I only remember one of their names. It was somebody who I'm sure it mildly well-known my Tarlach....though I'm not sure if they're already known for hacking or not.
I don't really have any evidence either. The only thing that could possibly prove it would be a video and ya, even then nexon may not care :\ They temp ban people all the time for seriously and openly hacking and duping. Yes, that'll teach 'em!
Just tell me the name, because I might know if they're a hacker. From what I'm seeing from your arguments, they're a definite hacker, unless they're spawning Barrier Spikes. It's possible to have 100% protection; however, it requires the spikes.
You can't spawn barriers outside of dungeons, shadow missions (theater missions? never tried) and RP dungeons/missions (which I think goes in the same category...)
Also don't forget about reforges that add protection.
There's possible ways that can rank up their protection; however, I can highly doubt that the archers can do that. Unless they have a TON of Defense to cover up the remaining damage, after the protection calculations, then I can understand that.
I think this conversation should be dropped since it's been established that hacking was involved...Let's not get this out of hand now :c
Yes barding I'm sure you do know who it is, but I wasn't going to name names because as far as I know they aren't a known hacker so I didn't really want to say who it was for no real reason. The name is unimportant tbh.
I hear its just like the Renes Egg Guarding Minigame?
Mode? You mean like difficulty, or the area? If it helps, we were at the one at the southern end of Black Beach. As for difficulty, the one that broke it was over 1k total.
Well, maybe that is something we can look into since I am not at all aware of this. I sort of just got dragged in by my guildies upon logging in.
Ah, so is it like the total level of the one who starts it that can change the spawns? Or is it another type of message? I was only called in by my guild leader during the second round and I left for an interview before we finished. From what I was told, our "mission" lasted for about 6~7 rounds, though no one kept count so I can't be 100% sure.
I've tested it between my elf (which is on adv) and my main (which is on hard mode) and the messages are identical. I have a feeling the monsters are exactly the same, however I did not kill any mobs while doing the message tests, I only checked for the messages themselves... but, from what I can tell, there is only one message that appears. EDIT: To add to this, it might be from mode to mode there is an hp adjustment, or that the number of spawns that appears changes. I did not do any combat on either character, I only checked the message itself. It may be that the mission level is a hidden value?
EDIT2 http://i325.photobucket.com/albums/k363/xMewxBerryx/puretree.jpg Image from both, was going to include that in my previous edit and hit save too quickly.
Maybe if someone can get a super nub there and break it, then we can see if it's based on who broke it or not, but as for what needs to be done, it could be just clearing all the mobs in a set amount of time, at which that on its own could be another hidden value... There was only one video that I saw from the KR server, but I think that one was taken in mid-run and all they did was try to kill as fast as possible. So... Are you sure there are different 'modes', as in different objectives, that need to be fulfilled instead of just killing/surviving?
I assume those come out during the triggers of the various waves? oO;;; Because I know that last one shows up if you are successful. But I've never seen the others show up between waves.
@Lt. Jessie: Yes, those shop up at the start and between each wave during the process of clearing the mobs. :)
Then I guess to clear up Pyro's confusion, there really isn't multiple 'modes', but rather indications between waves... ^^;;;;
