Fragment of a discussion from Talk:Perfume Making

As long as they keep up the renewals and continue with interesting stories, I don't think that Mabi will die for quite a while.

The most important thing to do, imo, is to encourage people to stay in towns other than Dunbarton and encourage/bring back the dungeon run. So much potential lost in those two areas.

Which is why Mabinogi is dying.

Economy: ruined.

Storyline: completely off topic.

G17S3: imo, lack of creativity, making it very uninteresting for me.

Dungeons: other than newbies, friends, guilds, and those hunting items, completely dead

Hackers: ruin it for the rest

And imo, there are too many different channels/worlds, considering the population of Mabinogi now.

Economy: I'm not sure how to fix this, but adding some sort of actually useful gold sink would do a lot imo. That and allowing Inventory+ for every user. Too much gold for the rich, not enough for the poor.

Storyline: I find it to be an interesting tangent as it did come back into Mabi's original story. How the story continues is the real thing to think about.

G17S3: I think it's an intermediate generation/season before we start the next big story/chapter. A lot of useful skills added in the Gen though.

Dungeons: Agreed. Needs to be looked at badly. Should have their generation formulas looked at, add an exp reward at the end, maybe tweak drop rates because those items are annoyingly rare, add some new stuff... Also reimplement the moon gates that were right next to dungeons but removed to improve the old moon gate system.

Hackers: Unavoidable. Just get more supervision.

Channels: Keep up the renewals, and I'll have to disagree.

The renewals are DevCat's way of admitting they've let the game become boring. Keep them up, and all I can see is fun.
