Marionette Potions causing Damage

Using a marionette for a large amount of time will result in this, in addition to potions speeding up the process to some degree, and My marionettes get nimbus'd often due to people summoning them while it is nearby (dam crutches)

The damage is permanent until you either:

1. Go back to Huw (Can be done damaged or full HP, which is where the "intricate work" comes in)
2. Use a Marionette Kit (Which repairs damage based on Kit Grade)

So, does it or does it not damage the marionette (e.g 100 Marionette Pot = Marionette takes 100 damage)?

Doesn't look like it after spamming a bunch of Marionette 50s.

Zzzz that description really gives a bad impression...
