Trivia/Backstory?

Trivia/Backstory?

I remember adding a few trivia bits for some pages such as Hebona, Cressida, Adonis, Thames and others a few years ago, but I was wondering if what I discovered tonight is at all relevant enough to add here.

In 1898, Paul Voulez and Julianne Shon Wien were leading the Valjean UN mission in West Africa. This mission was simply meant to unite the West African colonies, but they didn't, due to so much of their own destruction...

But then they settled and discovered Sarah Anyu Mangu or (Sarraounia) and her people, who was their priestess and chief. Refereed to as the Panther Queen. It's claimed that she would transform into a panther to defend her people, before they would all disappear.

As interesting as this is, I'm not sure if I want to add this, but I'll gladly share the links!

I'm not entirely sure. The only notable similarities I could draw from the two came down to the panther/transforming part. It's possible that Shamala could've been based off of the Sarraounia (or maybe someone else, or a mixture of people/things), but it might also be safer to keep it here rather than under trivia since it looks like there was an argument on what should and shouldn't be considered on pages some time ago. >.>

Wiki thoughts aside, that was definitely an interesting read! :^D

Yeah, that's a good point, it just sounded very similar. I also read stories about the castle of Dunbar in Scotland and wondered if it had anything to do with Dunbarton, but who knows! I guess even if it isn't in the game, trivia and interesting mythology is always fun to read about.

I would say yes, maybe not in multiple sentences though. But lord knows I'm insane to think trivia has any place on the wiki.

I just generally love trivia or adding things where Hebona or places from mythology or lore even comes from. I'm sure there's other people who enjoy that sort of stuff too. I would just have to figure out how exactly to add it in. But again, if it's just a theory and not proven they're related, I guess I really can't add it...

I believe this falls under "unrelated mythos". This thread is a good place for it, though!
