Shockwave and Blaze
Are usable on the knuckles, I tested it myself. This would give fighters with this weapon, a good edge against crowds due to the AoE nature of those skills.
Meteor strike too, but only shockwave is actually viable to use since it gets decreased blaze damage.
It can use all magic skills, except int ones since it has charging levels like a regular staff.
Hailstorm can be used without the charging because it's basically ripped off of a staff in template lol.
Also, later on there will be Merlin's Shyllien Mana Knuckles (different item). It comes from a Gachapon some time after the Diva/Aria update in KR. It is weaker than Shyllien Knuckles when not upgraded but when fully upgraded, it is equivalent to an unupgraded Shyllien Knuckle. The difference is Merlin's Shyllien also has an Artisan that makes it better than Shyllien if max roll, Merlin does not need charges to use intermediate magic (like Hermit's Staff), and can be dyed to a small extent.
It's cool and all, but you'd still be better off just using a savage wand and a real pair of knuckles.
A shyllien knuckle is stronger than a fully upgraded blacksmithed grade champion knuckle, minus a few max damage but it has a lot more min damage and makes up for the low windmill range by possessing shockwave. The Demonic Knuckles would be stronger but for over twice the repair fee it is not worth the 20 extra damage. And Languhiris knuckles are a complete joke. I don't understand why you would say this isn't a "real pair of knuckles" if it is better than all but one knuckle.

I did. I was just explaining that we don't know anything until see we see it in person or confirmed overseas.
I'm guessing they are treating the knuckles similar to fomor weaponry and disable special upgrades to it due to it being a unique item. But it's not definite until someone upgrades their knuckles to see if it works or not.
You can add +7 max damage to the shyllien mana knuckles to probably go higher than a merlin max artisan knuckle if the focus is mainly fighter skills with magic as secondary.
Meaning lack of int magic unless bolts are used, or unless you reforge to get bolt casting speeds increase.
EDIT: You can also pair cylinders and use sand blast alongside with blaze if you want to make it viable. Sand blast is very useful in dangerous situations when you gotta stop one enemy from aggroing.
