meters vs centimeters

Well, since Puppeteer skill descriptions mark distance in units of m that are exactly equal to 100 of the base unit we've just been calling "Distance".

Could you list your 4 the examples of CM being used? I know there were several, but i only remember what one of the fishing ones was, and I don't recall weather partner height explicated cm.

Out of the 4 cm values, 2 of them are seemingly unused, and the other 2 have to do with Fishing's catch size. Nothing else is measured in cm.

o3o. They were all reforge examples (of the 4 cm examples being used).

As for the skill descriptions.... hm.

Hm, does the fish size actually have any effect as to how it appears when dropped?

Also, if I remember correctly, the hints for some of the Puppetry skills actually say meters? I can't check because I mastered all 11 of them months back.

Well, the fish's size stat does effect how big it shows up on the ground, but it's not a reliable reference for distance since it's not always a straightforward head to tail measurement. Within the same species, math works(101cm>100cm), but a 150cm of one species can be less than a 140cm of another.

Yes, the size is affected, but the sizes is scaled by a multiplier. How the multiplier is determined is unknown at the moment, though that can probably be easily figured out.

None of the puppetry skills (that I have, Ctrl, Marionettes, Act 1-6) mention anything about distance. All mentions are in the rank effect, which you should still see.

Ah, I thought it was in the hint. I think some skills have meters in hints too, but I don't remember.

I just checked, and partner creation does explicitly say cm for height, and unlike fish size, this one seems to match the "distance" unit we've been using.

Yes, but like how fish size affects the dropped fish, height is scaled by a multiplier, also, if that has any effect.

yea, but this multiplier seems to be pretty close to 1, possibly even 1.

I had my commerce partner(height fixed at 130) load thunder so she'd stand still, then loaded grapple shot and found the inner and outer edges of it's range(by checking when the cursor changes). The min distance was about 3x her height, and the max distance was a between 7x and 8x her height.

Seems legit to me.
