95_full.pack fix?

Collapse

The other two files are up on Mediafire.... can you hurry and put up the 95_full.pack fix? After two weeks of trying to fix the game I finally got it to where I had the broken .pack file back, and of course it's the one that you don't have up on Mediafire yet.

About the npc crash bug.

when i first encountered the bug i came hear and got it fixed by downloading the 94_to_95.pack. and that fixed it, until there was a maintenance. i came back hear hoping to fix the problem again but ran into a road block. step two says to download whichever of the three files listed i have in my pack folder. my problem is that i don't have any of those files. the files i have are 96_full.pack, 96_to_97.pack and language.pack. can you help me out? ^_^;

just to clarify, i didn't re-download the game, or do the quest again.

EDIT: seance i first posted, a few hours ago, i have reinstalled the game. the problem persists. also, this probably means i now have the 97_full.pack file instead of what i said earlier.

You could just teach them on how to use the data packer :u ~小太郎 TALKCONTRIBS 2011:09:27:10:29 (Tuesday)

I could, bu if they don't already know how to use it, any or all of these might happen:

  • They don't have a "clean" data folder and get some broken mod
  • They delete more than they need to in the XML files
  • They somehow really screw up something else
  • I would be flooded with "IT DIDN'T WORK?!!?" messages
  • People with a deadly aversion to modding wouldn't feel comfortable with it
  • Nexon would be more likely to ban the packer, due to higher visibility (then again, this may not be a problem)
  • You'd have every noob running around with a data packer they don't fully understand
  • I'd probably get in trouble with the wiki, cause the policy says: the wiki does not condone the use of mods (though if I were solely making a judgment, this would be a fine, legit use of mods)

In addition, most people aren't going to take the time to read a post about a long, complex method of fixing their client.

It's just easier on everyone if I provide links to the fixed files. :)

"Nexon would be more likely to ban the packer, due to higher visibility"

What do you mean by ban o.o

And if I were making the hotfix, it would be an open source program that automatically patched the package files to remove the offending keyword. I do have a alpha package write API in addition to my public read API... But then again, "3rd party program", unless I hosted it on the wiki itself... :D ~小太郎 TALKCONTRIBS 2011:10:11:05:00 (Tuesday)

1. What does Solution B's "Pending approval" mean?

2. There IS a way to run Mabinogi straight from the website without using Solution C; if one runs IE or Firefox as Administrator. One would still have to do that every time, though.

He's pending approval for linking the already compiled file to the wiki.
