Description

Jan's back once again to smelt you away with a fish-tastic request. Break the ice this winter by going after the Glacier Smelt and catch some cool rewards, like the new Mag Mell Fishing Chair (for 2), or some new Homestead friends with set effects! Check out the fishy details below!

Details

• Head on down to Physis to find Jan and his pal for our new fishing event.
• Upon log in you will receive a guide quest, "[Guide] Jan's Request".
  • Once this quest is completed, every other character on the account will no longer have this quest.
• Jan can be found next to the Reus River Mana Tunnel.
• Talk to Jan to register a main character.
  • You can only register one character per account.
• Once a character is registered, that character will receive a Snowfield L-Rod (Event), a stack of Glacier Smelt Bait Feeder (Event), and a Fishing Rod.
• Use the Snowfield L-rods and the Land Maker action to make fishing holes along the river.

• • If you ever lose your Snowfield L-Rod (Event), speak to Jan and select "I need another Snowfield L-Rod" to receive another.
• After agreeing to help Jan and the aquaphobic Seal Pal, and registering a main character, he will give you the daily quest: "[Event] Be the One Who Smelt it and Dealt it".

• Bring Jan some Glacier Smelts to receive rewards depending on the amount you bring him.
  • Please be aware the "[Event] Phishy Phobia in Physis" quest must be in progress to receive the rewards.
• To get more bait complete the daily quest , "[Event] Be the One Who Smelt it and Dealt it".
  • This awards 30 Glacier Smelt Bait Tin (Event).
  • This effect resets at EST: 10:00am
    UTC: 3:00pm
    AEDT: 2:00am
    7:00am PST100.
• To create a fishing hole in the river, Humans and Elves must use Snowfield L-rods. However, Giants can use Stomp to open one.
  • An ice fishing hole lasts for 2 hours.
• You will receive 100 bait each day for logging in on the character you registered as a main character.
  • This effect resets at EST: 10:00am
    UTC: 3:00pm
    AEDT: 2:00am
    7:00am PST100.
  • Bait will be received the day after you register a main character.

Daily Quest

Be the One Who Smelt It and Dealt It

• Bring 10 Smelt to Jan near the Mana Tunnel at Reus River.
• You will receive the following rewards after completing the daily quest "[Event] Be the One Who Smelt it and Dealt it":
  • Glacier Smelt Bait Tin (Event) x30
  • 10,000 Gold
  • 200,000 EXP
• The daily quest will reset at EST: 10:00am
  UTC: 3:00pm
  AEDT: 2:00am
  7:00am PST100.

Phishy Phobia In Physis Rewards

• Bring 30 Glacier Smelts - Golden Experience Fruit (500%) x2
• Bring 50 Glacier Smelts - Mysterious Spirit Stone (100%) (Not tradable)
• Bring 90 Glacier Smelts - Bellflower Fishing Rod ^New!
• Bring 130 Glacier Smelts - Mag Mell Fishing Chair (for 2) ^New!

Old Fish Trap Reward List

• Note: Due to an event error, the Old Fish Traps obtained at the beginning of this event were the Old Fish Trap (2021) and not the Old Fish Trap (2024).
  • The issue was resolved within 24 hours.

Event Quests

[Guide] Jan's Request

• This quest is a guide quest. It is given once to guide the player towards the event area.
• This quest is given to all characters on the account. It is removed from all other characters, after the main character has been registered.

How to Get Quest	Log in during the event period.
Briefing	I have a favor to ask, particularly if you enjoy ice fishing. Throw me a line... I'm near the Reus River in Vales of Iria Continent. -Jan-
Objectives	Speak with Jan to designate a Main Character. (Reward: Snowfield L-Rod (Event), Glacier Smelt Bait Tin (Event) x100, Fishing Rod)
Rewards	10000 Experience Points
Additional Information	Find and help Jan near the Mana Tunnel at Reus River in Iria Continent. Jan will give you a plain Fishing Rod to use.

[Event] Phishy Phobia in Physis

• This quest is given once over the duration of the event period.

How to Get Quest	Log in during the event period with the selected main character.
Briefing	Please catch Glacier Smelt for my phobic friend. Fish them out of Reus River! -Jan-

• This quest uses regular Smelt, not Glacier Smelt.
• Regular Smelt is a by-product of using Glacier Smelt Bait Tin (Event).
