Description

Winter Sports Days: Ski Jump & Ski Racing Slalom

Event Dates: Thursday, Jan. 15 - Tuesday, Feb. 3 (20 days)

Event Details:

In Ski Racing Slalom, you'll need to navigate down a hilly snow course and through checkpoints. Beat the course time of 55 seconds to earn a Winter Sports Day Celebration Box.

For the Ski Jump, boost your speed by hitting the markers, then launch off the ramp for an epic jump. Time it just right for maximum distance. Don't forget to stick the landing! If your total point value is over 1600, you'll be eligible for a Winter Sports Day Celebration Box.

The Winter Sports Day Celebration Box could contain any number of random rewards, including Gold, Silver, Bronze, or Tin level podiums (chair items), a variety of Reindeer Antlers, upgrade stones, gems, materials, and more!^[1]

Details

Ski Racing Slalom

The skiing hill is northeast of the "h" in Sella Beach.
Ski between the pairs of flags. Each missed pair of flags adds 5 seconds to your time at the end.
Controls: W,A,S,D keys and the spacebar.
- W makes you ski faster
- A turns you left
- S slows you down
- D turns you right
- Press the spacebar with A or D to perform a power slide.
Hitting the sign at the bottom of the hill will teleport you back to the starting point.
If you get a time of 55 seconds or less, you receive a Winter Sports Day Celebration Box.

Ski Jump

The Ski Jump area is southwest of the Hillwen Mine Mana Tunnel.
Purchase a Ski Jump Ticket from the Event Helpers
- Winter Sports Pros sell tickets for 100g at the bottom of the hill or 500g at the top.
Hit the flag pole at the bottom of the hill to be taken up the slope.
There are two slopes.
- Slope 1 is located to the east while Slope 2 is at the west.
The letters A,S,D will appear along the slope path which must be pressed as you go by.
- The spacebar is used at the jump point as well as the landing.
Apply with either slope's Winter Sports Pro to receive a Ski Jump Waiting Ticket with your number. Climb the stairs next to the pro and enter the slope when your number is called.
- Used Ski Jump Waiting Tickets can be sold back to NPCs for 50g.
If you get a score of at least 1600, you can receive a Winter Sports Day Celebration Box from the Winter Sports Pro at the bottom of the slope.
