Generation 21: The Guardian's Path (Spoilers)

Mairon was a part of the Alban Knights, and hid that fact from his sister. In an illusion Avelin and the Milletian experience, a recollection of the events that led to his death are replayed.

Awaiting for Avelin, gift in tow, he instead encounters a disguised Brilluen that hints that Avelin will be late, tricking him into lowering his guard. Soon after, Brilluen reveals herself to be a Prophet and attacks him repeatedly with magic. She takes his present for Avelin, a hair tie, and reveals to Mairon that she intends to weave magic into the it so that she can always know where his sister is. Brilluen's plan being that with Mairon's death, Avelin would get the push needed to become an Alban Knight herself. When Mairon denies the idea of Avelin becoming a knight, Brilluen kills him with one last strike.
