Erm, not to be rude or anything, but even if you buy it from the store, it says right in the item description where you can buy them o3o;.. From the burning rocks in front of the volcano when its raining. The rain douses the fire, and so you can safely mine it without getting bruned (actually that last bit was just to make it seem more logical, you don't get burned or anything if you go near it, and when it is on fire, you can't mine it at all. Can confirm I entered sm after 6pm in-game. it was not snowing. waited inside sm mission until 6pm the next day and it started snowing and allowed mining of the flint. Flint mined counted for the Arcana questline.

Have received second hand info that entering the SM @ 4pm in-game time will allow it to snow in the mission when it hits 6pm. can anyone else confirm if entering before 6pm in-game time makes it snow once it hits 6pm?

It snows if you wait for 6pm inside of SM, but I had a problem that I couldn't mine because my hands are short lol.

I had the problem with my hands being too short too. After trying many, MANY rocks out of my way, I found one I was able to reach. Hopefully this helps someone.

Thanks for that, it worked. It seems you can't mine on the other spots except the one you were at. I tried all the others and I couldn't mine at all.

The issue might just be that the nodes don't properly update if you had them visually loaded prior to the weather change (an issue that I think also affects normal Zardine nodes). But a little bit more research would need to happen to be sure of that.

If somone were to use Rain Casting on flint rocks, would it be possible to mine them?

It does not appear so, at least at rank B Rain Casting.
