I'm currently in the middle of trying to do G3 infiltration, however, I'm having issues getting by the mobs.
All of the 'tips' given in the main article say that all mobs other than the hellhound shouldn't be able to detect you when you have the fomor robe on, while the hellhounds detect you instantly. I've been experiencing quite the opposite. Whenever I spawn normal mobs, they aggro me instantly from half way across the room, however, when I spawn the hellhound it doesn't ever aggro me. I've tried it without the robe as well, and it gives the same result.
Does anyone remember what it was called or had you do? After returning to Mabi, I don't think I received it. Thinking of filing a ticket but I wanted to try and jog my memory first.
Talk to Duncan, that's it.
The main problem for both is the many bullet points. Also, tips/strategies for Anti-Fomor needs to be cleaned up (the section after the template).
I'm sure someone can simplify better than I can :s
According to the guide, you can't transform in infiltration.
But I've just done it on my giant, and I was able to transform just fine.
Is it just Giants(/possibly Elves) that can, or can humans transform now, too?
Out of curiosity, does the 1-man restriction still apply?
Tested, still applies. FFFFFFFFFFFFFF......
And for some reason its not letting an Elf friend of mine in o-o
Heads up, the pass is bugged. You are gonna have to find other methods of entering. It only works if you are doing G3 it seems...
A human friend went in and he said he wasn't doing G3...
So its probably for Elves/Giants who aren't in G3?
The pass seems to work for those who are on G3 (Both old and new). Rather odd since to begin with, Elves and Giants were able to use the pass before...as far as Humans, I assume those who have done/skipped G3 would be unable to enter, but either way, I say the pass is bugged.
Oh...I just assumed they could before this. I've seen other elves in another world bangor, so I naturally I assume they got there by pass o-o;
Instead of making another thread, I'm having this stupid issue again. I'm not able to get into my friend's finale and I'm done with G3. how to get in? I heard the housing method was patched and my friend doesn't exactly have an avon feather...
uhh no he doesn't. He missed them by 1 day and was really pissed when he bought the nx for them lol...
I think you need to find ANOTHER person who can access the dungeon, with a feather or partner.
I'm not sure if I should add this to the wiki or not but two friends and I just cleared Baol Final and the campfire trick didn't work at all. Instead we each took a corner of the room and spammed magic and ranged at him. When he hit one of us with fireball we just used a few hp 100 potions. The fireball spell isn't a 1 hit KO anymore, it just puts you in deadly so you can heal yourself.
That's pretty much a 1hko if you don't deadly, which you most likely will. + That's not really much of a 'way to beat g3 final boss'... more of a 'just keep attacking and don't die' method, which is all the time.
Well we tried the campfire trick 4 times and it didn't work so we all died. I believe that the way we did it worked much better. We had one person using hide in the far corner away from the others with a few party feathers on him just in-case. when the dragon flew up in the air to Fire Ball one of us the one he was shooting it at would use the paper airplane trick, which in my opinion was a lot easier that trying to all get behind campfires. We beat him with only one of us getting downed and it took about 4 minutes to beat him.
Is G3 actually able to be skipped still? I completed g2 on a fresh character post genesis and had the first G3 quest, and went to the Weird Cat to skip. After selecting to skip, I got the achievement for clearing G3 and a cutscene for G13...But not G9...And when checking my quests I still have the G3 quest, despite relogs and reclienting.
Is this an idolized glitch or can anyone confirm?
The page says that the player has to do G1-3 to do other generation quests.
I have not actually completed G3 so that I could hold on to the 5 prot glove, however I can still do my Shakespeare quests.
Has it been changed to block G7-8, g9-11, or G13-16 quest lines if the player has not completed them, or is this an error?
Kevin's right. If you started/finished G9 and G13 before Genesis, then you can still continue. However, unconfirmed for G7/G8 and no guarantees on G17 which comes to Korea in the Fall.
I put a similar thread and only older players are unaffected by this rule. G7 and 8 are (so far) unaffected by the rule. New players that join after G16S2 will experience problems with later generations, though G7~8 are unconfirmed.
Edit: By problems, I mean that they can't start it until G3 is finish.
G7 and G8 are not blocked. The only requirement (to trigger the quests) is to simply visit the town of Cor I believe.
The official guide implies that you have to go back and talk to Eavan/Aodhan after G3 and return the ring. When I did G3 I didn't get the chain (it was back in pioneers) and I no longer own a human. Can somebody confirm this? The page says you lose the ring automatically, with no mention of returning to the NPC.
