Talk:Glas Ghaibhleann

From Mabinogi World Wiki

What does it mean by none if you fail to defeat it? In the field locations. Would that be implying later on it will be a field boss or is this someones joke like the trolls spawning in the arena. =.=;;--Trickybomb 07:30, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Just a bit of a joke, saying that if you don't stop it, it will shortly be stomping about in Erinn burninating everything in its path. --Naiya 09:41, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
Hey, if the G9 previews are to be believed, then yes, Glas will be either yet again be a storyline boss or a field boss. --redemption2 15:49, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
In my defense, a Troll -does- spawn in the arena on KR Test. Sorry. ---Angevon
I was watcing that teaser for G9, and it seems like he may be another storyline boss, or that is an RP in which Glas was orriginally summoned. all speculation. TGFL

Novaix said: Yeah, you're right for G9, and perhaps another of the C3 generations as well. It's the only way [besides going along with someone] that elves and giants can fight them, because he's the main goal of the fomors. [note on G3, Macha would probably be a suitable source of energy enough to a) serve the same purpose better and b) create more of them]

nockdown and nockback

can glass be nocked down? It's been a long time since i did glass dungeon, but i don't think i've ever seen him get nocked down, only nocked back.--Sozen Cratos Focker 03:19, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

I don't think he can be knocked down. Only back. --Kevin (‧Talk‧) 03:25, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
the reason i thought about that just now is cause that is cause i noticed he has something unusual in his entry in race.xml; BlowAwayEnable="false" ShovedEnable="true" most monsters have iether both true or both false. should glass be added to the list of monsters on the "skill" page for advance heavy stander?--Sozen Cratos Focker 03:35, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
But I thought the definition for AHS is no knockback nor knockdown. Since Glas can be knockback, it doesn't have AHS, right? --W960i 09:09, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
There's no such thing as AHS. Someone made it up. The monsters listed as having AHS are just made without coding for being knocked down and/or pushed back (they're separate abilitys).--Sozen Cratos Focker 08:15, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

Guide

I'm not really sure the "GUIDE" part is necessary. It's really just a suggested style of killing him, and I just kinda don't like it. I can kill Glas just as easily (though it probably takes much longer) as a rF archer with an elf helping and a person reviving us as needed, so should I write a guide about that? I think not. >.> --Skye♪ 02:28, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

The Guide is for Low-Lvls that dont have any High-Lvls to help them. And if you follow the guide exactly, he will die for sure (I did the math :P). --User:Flaski

If you don't have any high-levels to help you, then you most certainly won't have access to a Master of WM or an archer with AR, as the Guide suggests. It should be removed.

Also, you're not able to use any transforms in the pendant or orb dungeons, so I'm not too sure how it's suggested in the guide ;) Demaetri (Talk) 07:40, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

So yeah. Guide should be removed, basically, since it's redundant if it's meant for "low levels that dont have any high-lvls to help them" but mentions people with AR and R1 WM. BladeBlade 01:55, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Gavelen

Please stop changing the name to Glas Gavelen. "Ghaibhleann" is spelled Gavelen on foreign servers due to phonetics but is not the translation NA has used so far. --- Angevon (Talk) 17:09, 21 December 2009 (UTC)

Counter

Can his attacks be countered? Sorry, but I'm just wondering because I've got the G9 Glas coming up and I want to try to solo it. Edit: Forgot sig, sorry. --a random Person. 07:51, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

Demigod Method

I just helped one of my guild members complete G1 final, and my other 2 party members died, so I was left to solo glas. I used Awakening of Light, and then proceeded to spam spear of Light (Rank E) on him. By spamming spear of light, I managed to solo Glas, without the use of any seal scrolls. When a light gargoyle came along to attack me, I used a pet to distract it. My point is, Light Spear Spam works, even at rank E, to kill Glas Ghaibbleann. I am not good with templates, so if someone could include this strategy into the data, it would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and by the way, it was G1 Glas.--Th3Evil5Ponge 04:03, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Demigod is "cheating" in G1. People who are doing new to the game would probably not have demigod.--Hengsheng120·TALKCONTRIBS 05:01, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
Really, any of the "get uber high level skill" strategies are like that, but I definitely recall some mention of AR. Since that was taken out, I don't see why this should be put in.Novaix 07:18, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
I'm not saying it's neccesarily for the person DOING G1, I'm saying it might be useful for someone helping. Also, there is mention of rank 1 AR and rank 1 WM, which newbies wouldn't have :I.Th3Evil5Ponge 20:32, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
Rank 1 fireball works well too...--Hengsheng120·TALKCONTRIBS 21:21, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
The problem of Demigod method is that the story of G10 happens after G1 story. Since G2 & G3 are also post-G1, you can't use Paladin nor Dark Knight during the final battle. But due to the implement of Elf & Giant races, the developers failed to restrict C2 & C3 missions after C1, that's why you can use Demigod. But again, not recommended, use a skill you learnt after someone (if you believe that's not you) saved the goddess to save the goddess is definitely cheating.
Although Savage Beast, Falcon and many skills such as Fireball are post-G1 contents, they do not fit into the mainstream story, so there's no problem to use.--Yakiz 01:55, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

Drops

Someone just found a dagger after we killed glas in scouting mission (int}, im not sure if it was the cows or glas that dropped it tho.. :/ SoraHikari 03:32, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
