Randomly checking the handicraft sections of each item, they are a complete mess when it comes to formatting and information. On top of that, some items are completely missing from the list. I'm hoping to create style and data templates to make the formatting of these sections more consistent from article to article.
After doing some work, I found out a few things. First, you apparently cannot use Handicraft without first getting it up to rank F. Therefore all items are at a minimum rF. Second, some of the items skill ranks are wrong. For example, the Fishing Pole and Handmade Arrow can be crafted at rF instead of rE. This may have been do to changes made during the updates. But then again, it may have been wrong from the very beginning. But by the looks of it, the table may have to be redone from the ground up.
Now there does appear to be a difference between an item's rank and the rank at which the item can be crafted. I'm not sure where this information can be extracted unless it is somewhere in the xml data files.
Well I found the file with all of the information and tracked down the appropriate images. All of the information on the table is accurate. I've completely rebuilt the table and divided it into items that are implemented, have not been implemented, or have been previously implemented but are no longer craftable. I do have the information as to when most of the items were introduced and I'm debating on whether to add it to the data templates.
I know it was a lot of work -- good job. I don't have much of an opinion on the dates for previously implemented items but maybe a link could be added to the relevant event instead?
Also, I'm not 100% sure what the difference is between Difficulty and Rank; could you maybe put an explanation under the basic info or at least right before the chart?
I was trying to train Handicraft a bit today, looked at what I needed for my current rank (Finest Handmade arrow) and the chart says 70% at rank C, but I open the skill window and attempt to make an arrow and my success rate is 63%, then I looked through the list and none of them matched up correctly with my current rank.
So... I think the success rates might have to be redone.
