Total damage

Total damage in the summary box and the damage increase under Training Method. Why are they different.

Talk:Kunai Storm#Regarding my recent edits to this page.

Bunch of people ran tests, both on NA and JP, and discovered that KS deals 100% more damage than what is listed in-game. Personally I would prefer if the summary said the in-game value, since all that's needed is the skill issue note and listing the "actual" value can cause confusion.

What isn't clear is which part of the skill is bugged: the in-game listing or the +100% damage.

Infodude575 (talk)12:48, 25 January 2015

Should put as a side note somewhere. Because people are confused.

Sakura502 (talk)13:44, 25 January 2015

Well, there is a note in the details...

Infodude575 (talk)14:00, 25 January 2015

Well shet. Though sucks for anyone skimming the table, so might as well.

Sakura502 (talk)14:41, 25 January 2015

When you rank up kunai storm to dan 1, the damage value in the skill window goes up to " + 420%" instead of just "420%"

I don't know how others would take that, but to me it implies a sloppy way of saying that kunai storm's damage is 100 + 420% which matches the numbers we see in game.

This doesn't show up on lower ranks, however.

Marith (talk)14:08, 7 September 2017

Just checked in game, and on my girlfriend's screen it shows "+400%" for Kunai Storm rank 1. But I asked someone else to give me a screenshot and at rank 9 it seems that the "+" is missing...

I'll report this over at the Nexon forums, best way to resolve that issue, thanks for bringing it up.

It seems as though the area of effect increases on ranking from r1 to dan1, but I can't be sure, and I certainly don't have any way to check the numbers of such an effect.

Perhaps someone could confirm this and/or work out the actual numbers

ScytheReaper (talk)16:52, 23 August 2017

I have Dan 2 and I haven't noticed any increase in AoE range, the skill itself still lists it as 10m as well, which is the same as Rank 1.

The best I could do is find someone else with Rank 1 (no Dan) and compare.

Snowie (talk)01:12, 24 August 2017

While I'm not discrediting your experience, I'm pretty sure the range is referring to how far away you can use the skill, not the AoE

ScytheReaper (talk)16:30, 24 August 2017

You are correct, I should not be answering complicated questions right after waking up. I'll have it looked into.

Snowie (talk)17:02, 24 August 2017

I can confirm that the radius for the AoE does not increase for any of the Dan ranks, only the damage it does and the combat power. The current info on the page is correct currently.

Training Requirements

The Training Requirements for ranks E, D and C on this skill's page are wrong, but I don't know the exact values (A friend told me), can anyone check these somehow?

Snowie Stormflower (talk)12:27, 21 May 2015

Inb4 they threw in pieces of KR Ninja.

They did :x

Infodude575 (talk)12:48, 21 May 2015

Regarding my recent edits to this page.

The math issue is obviously justified as everything was somehow divided by 4 instead of 3, as for the note in bold, please see the results of tests and remarks by other people in this thread [1].

Snowie Stormflower (talk)12:11, 6 January 2015

The four hits was from sandbox and second-hand information. I looked at a couple videos and didn't get a clear visual of the number of hits, so I just guessed it was 4 hits like Gunner. I apologize on that account, but I couldn't fix it for various reasons.

The damage was discussed on IRC yesterday, and we all concluded the same results as what Mabination came to. Since something is clearly bugged here, the thing is more of a "Skill Issue" than Details.

Directly changing the summary values is a bad idea. There's still no word from Nexon whether or not 500% damage is intended, and it's also misleading; combined with the skill issue detail, someone could easily mistake it for 500% as the listed value and 600% as the actual damage output.

Infodude575 (talk)02:13, 7 January 2015

That wasn't me though. All I did was correct the value per hit while respecting the values displayed in-game. The edit you linked me to was made by Kaeporo.

Snowie Stormflower (talk)10:28, 7 January 2015

That was directed toward the editor of that edit, Kaeporo, not you.

Infodude575 (talk)12:38, 7 January 2015

Revert the change if desired. If your position changes in the future, the number crunching will already be there for you.

This skill has strange effects with aggro - some monsters tend to only notice you (!) or not notice you at all (no effect) if you use it and back off. Additionally, if you use it in normal stance (not combat) without spam clicking, you remain in normal stance. Has anyone else noticed this? It's kind of like using Flame Burst in Sulfur Spider missions.

Koakuma (talk)16:36, 11 August 2014

Yes, that's just how the skill works in accordance to the mob's AI. Golems, Shadow Creatures, etc. don't care about my existence when I use Kunai Storm, but Spiders have always noticed on non-aggro skills like Stomp or, as you've already mentioned, Flame Burst.

Multi-hit affecting Durability/Proficiency

Can anyone confirm if this skill uses up to 3x Durability/Proficiency?

Infodude575 (talk)12:49, 27 July 2014

Seems so. 1 hit = 6 prof kunai storm all 3 hits = 18 prof. Doesn't count for more than one monster at once.

Meru (talk)13:08, 27 July 2014

Semi-related, but what about Sakura Abyss's 5 hits?

Infodude575 (talk)13:17, 27 July 2014

Same thing.
