Maid/Buttler Quests

Just a thought, i think there should be a page/area for the possible quests you can get. So people can understand them better. Like with the gem quest. I got it and my maid wanted a topaz, i looked at the quest and all it said was 20 and squares. so i wasnt sure if it wanted 20 of them or what. Another thing, today i got a quest to get 5 fire firewood. It said it wanted me to chop it down, so im not sure if it ment for me to honestly gather it or if i can just buy 5 and call it good. (i dont have the skill so cant gather) so anyway, yeah. just putting it out there. maybe have a page/area for their quests?

Partners. Although, I'd think a Partner Quests page wouldn't be a bad idea, using the full template there.

Pyro - (Talk)13:53, 9 July 2012

Using a full template for each quest only have 1 objective... What a waste of space.

Don't they have different briefings?

Pyro - (Talk)15:53, 9 July 2012

It's the objectives that matter, not the briefings..

They actually have two objectives: do whatever the partner asks you, then talk to partner.

Infodude57519:26, 9 July 2012

Some do, some don't. Clearing a dungeon or a shadow mission has two though delivering things don't I believe.

Zugon (Talk | contribs)22:27, 9 July 2012

I did SM and they made me talk to her.

Infodude57522:42, 9 July 2012

I said that kinda..?

Zugon (Talk | contribs)23:04, 9 July 2012

well anyway, i still think it would be a good idea. i would do it myself, but you know. i have noooo idea how

Moondustercat20:43, 10 July 2012

They have way more skills and actions than listed. Same for butler.

Pyro - (Talk)23:11, 6 July 2012

Then list them...? o-o

Also, Menma/Commerce Partner has Thunder.

Pyro - (Talk)23:23, 6 July 2012

No Assault Slash? O_o

Infodude57523:25, 6 July 2012

Ohsnap. They really do get rank 1 combat skills at lv 200. /checkdb.

but...how to get them there?

S•A•R•I•A23:35, 6 July 2012

Whats their EXP gain? Same as ours?

Infodude57523:40, 6 July 2012

They gain experience by completing their daily quest. (Don't desummon during quest.) You can only do 1 maid and 1 butler quest per real day per all maids/butlers on accounts. Different species of partners do not share that cooldown.

Pyro - (Talk)23:40, 6 July 2012

Fighting with them won't give them experience, and you can't log on as a partner.

Pyro - (Talk)23:40, 6 July 2012

How much EXP?

Infodude57523:41, 6 July 2012

I don't know, buy one and tell me.

Pyro - (Talk)23:42, 6 July 2012

What about ageing? Don't tell me they got ageing going on?

Dra6o0n23:46, 6 July 2012

No aging, no stat change ever. No perfect time to lvl them. Also, their height is fixed on creation. I'll add the height formula to the page.

Pyro - (Talk)23:52, 6 July 2012

If you look up "mabinogi Partner" and click the top result, it will show Jap Mabi and apparently the maid/buttler can repair dura, have its own npc shop, and if im not mistaken, there may be a mount involved, just look it up, don't know if it applies to NA mabinogi though.

Jovenator01:59, 7 July 2012

on youtube*

Jovenator01:59, 7 July 2012

NA partners have a lot of differences from the ones in other servers.

Pyro - (Talk)02:06, 7 July 2012

NA partners can do all that, except the mounts havent been released yet.

How much exp needed to raise them to level 200? And does anyone know a good way to level them up faster since they don't seem to get exp from your buffed exp pots (I think they get 'base exp' and like 10% off of that because mine has 8000 exp and i killed a lot of mobs with more than 5000 exp each)?

Dra6o0n08:09, 8 July 2012

I did the partner quest for my maid and she got +2 disposition and didn't level up at all...

I think Nexon screwed it up and nerfed partners. They 'might' age because it might be a different variant of partners than the JP and KR ones...

They gain stats from leveling up too.

Dra6o0n09:33, 8 July 2012

By leveling I mean killing monsters for exp and my maid leveled like a normal pet. But partner quest gives you the owner 200k exp, and not give the pet any exp except disposition +2.

Dra6o0n09:34, 8 July 2012

50K-200K Exp, and I had my partner before the aging point of Samhain and she hasn't aged yet.
Your partners are getting stats for levels because his/her skills are ranking up.

Zugon (Talk | contribs)10:43, 8 July 2012

Partners don't age.

Pyro - (Talk)11:06, 8 July 2012

Partners get EXP from your monster skills and they don't get EXP from the partner quests. :l And pet EXP is the same as our EXP table.

Anyone know why the heck are maids given rN combat mastery? Pet training kit works on them right?

Dra6o0n11:09, 9 July 2012

Even if Pet Training Kits did work, it wouldnt raise any stats. And because they have 300 hp base... if it wasnt capped at N, you could get a max of 400+

I'm more worried about the fact that partners cannot boost min and max damage of their overall attacks so it will be rather hard to use them for combat until you either give them fully upgraded weapons (which becomes dumb down because of low rank CM) or you find a way to boost CM, like the partner kits which don't work right now (I wonder if they function the exact same way as pet training kit... Boost 2 skills by 1 rank and drop 2 skills by 1 rank)...

Lv200 would take forever and r1 skills won't give it enough boost compared to boosting CM to r1 alone...

1 Max/min = 2.5/3 str...

Funny because my dragon and other pets at level 30~40 deals much more damage as my maid lv19 with cutlasses and they are unarmed lol.

Accessory Repairs

How much does it cost for a Maid to fix accessories? Not 40k?

Infodude57512:57, 8 July 2012

Still 40K.

Zugon (Talk | contribs)13:31, 8 July 2012

Each percentage has its own multiplier that is constant across all repairs of the same percentile.

Pyro - (Talk)13:41, 8 July 2012

It's still expensive, at the least.

Zugon (Talk | contribs)13:55, 8 July 2012

What is this?

Is this a pet card? It looks like it, but it seems like something they wouldn't release in NA.

Dragonkiri09:12, 2 December 2011

Yes, its a pet. And we ARE getting it - Nexon has included the pet data for the maid in the latest packs.

Xcelled19410:17, 2 December 2011

The proper term is partner, but it classifies as a pet? Nice...and I guess it's great that we are getting it.

LexisMikaya11:58, 2 December 2011

No, they don't classify as a pet. They have their own separate character creation button in the character selection screen and their own tab in the character window within the game. Go here for more information on them.

Pyro - (Talk)15:06, 2 December 2011

Ya I know. I'm just saying it's odd that it's in the pet data.
